for a referendum to go ahead the minions of the london based parties would have to vote pass a referendum bill in the Scottish parliament..
from ALL the parties.. labour...tory and fub dums the retort is the same.. they would ALL vote against a referendum happening..... this is because their london bosses crack the whip and they toe the line......

David Kerr was a very brave man to stand in this election.....He was disadvantaged by not being first choice. His party had never done much better than 15%. Labour had held the seat for 74 years, but none of these obstacles stopped him from taking up the challenge.....

If england for instance was to depart from the british empire' does that mean Scotland,wales or northern Ireland owns the rights to the Falklands?? Or does this still belong to her majesty the qween of england and her empire!!

We were equally involved in Empire, but only after our own trade with Europe was cut off. While some rich people gained wealth from the Empire most Scots at home were almost as poor as the exploited folk in the colonies. The Empire is over and it is time for the British union to join it. There is no point looking backwards and if you are genuinely worried about Scots in Westminster then the only logical answer is English independence.
As England has over 80 per cent of the MP's in Westminster it has by far the largest voice there. Scotland has 10% Wales 5%, we know what it's like to be genuinely outvoted.
Once again the english government is relying on Scotland's Oil to bail them out of the resession and boost their Economy for years to caam, (Our North Sea Oil) London call's it!
Ther will come a day when our oil runs out' maybe 50yrs time?
Scotland should be putting this to good use to secure our future genarations to come!

precisely.. Labour are a UNIONIST party.. as are the tories and the lib dums.. doesn't take Einstein to figure that out and the consequences.
Scottish labour,tories and lib dums take their orders from party HQ in london.
thus they can block our democratic right to vote to cede from the union

and no she is not my queen, she just some old bint who got lucky being born into that family...
again having actually BEEN to the Falklands you will find that if they were given a vote, they would stay under london rule.
do you think Scotland should be given a chance to vote on independence ? or was the falklands reference just a specious argument?

well truth is it was english gold that BOUGHT the Scottish parliament at the time.
the parliament was also illegally convened and thus , in truth the act of the union in Scotland isn't a legal document.
Personally i don't dig royalty so any queen/king means nothing to me. why should an accident of birth place someone as my head of state? not a chance,
and keep the Falklands for strategic sheep purposes. having been there i know Scotland would not need it or want it.
