I listened to the speech where Obama supposedly called Palin a pig, and he did not do this. He was talking about McCain's policies, not Sarah Palin. I'm voting for McCain because of Obama's muslim ties. But please, let's tell the truth here. Obama is innocent of this slander.

McCain once again is avoiding the issues and going for political mud slinging.

Obama's remarks were toward the failed Bush policies, and McCain dressing up these failed policies as good. But failed policies are bad policies, no matter how much McCain and Palin dress them up; hence LIPSTICK.

Too bad people are too stupid to realize this and just want Obama to look bad.

McCain should make another Britney Spears ad to cover up this failure as well.

Here's one way to look at this, and if its true obama is a brilliant Strategist! Since Palins injection into the race the obama camp has had to figure out how to neutralize the sexism barrier and addtional defenses that come along with her gender!! Well... You create that friction first by baiting the opponent by using a loaded slogan that can be manipulated and used for swift boat purposes, and when he goes for it you expose and point out to the people the tactics utilized by the other party.

It's simply incredible how dishonest McCain's campaign has become in sinking to this level. Obama clearly makes the "lipstick on a pig" comment in reference to McCain's plan, having nothing to do with Sarah Palin. Then McCain's handlers put out an ad and take everything Obama said out of context and made it look like he was insulting Palin. McCain is a maverick no more, he's simply sold his soul in an attempt to get elected and moral consequences be damned.

You could have buried the story and laid it to rest by simply stating:

"I accept responsibility for my bad choice of words, for I certainly had not intended to reference to Sarah Palin when I made the lipstick refrence. I was refrencing to policies laid out from the McCain platform. Nonetheless, I apologize to all who misunderstood my words and were offended by them"

Now it is to late. Now the story is huge and any apology would be seen as purely an insincere political consideration

This man is an arrogand man. He reffered to his opponent as being a pig, and then cries foul that America noticed. The fact that he refuses to apologize and further insults them by saying that the McCain campaign is resorting to "phony, foolish diversions", is a testament of his lack of respect for someone across the isle (kind of like the lack of respect Lenin had for those who didn't support his policies), and his unabilty to take responsibilty over his own mistakes.

It was an audience of YOUR supporters that reacted to YOUR comment by laughing, yelling standing and applauding as they believed YOU were referencing Palin's comment. It was the media that picked up on what you said and the reaction of your audience and then ran with the story questioning your intent.
