@jleer1 Actually they do exist and I've used both. C-flat is the same tone as B natural, but it is a different note. Likewise, B-sharp is the same tone as C natural, but is a different note. Saying there can't be a C-flat or a B-sharp is like saying there can't be an F-double-sharp or a B-double-flat, both of which are extremely common.
@jleer1 No it doesn't. If you're in a key in which C is sharp, are playing that note and want to use the lower chromatic neighboring tone, it's called a B-sharp -- not a C natural. If you're playing a D-flat dominant 7th chord, it is spelled D-flat, F, A-flat, C-flat. Spelling it with a B and not a C-flat would make no sense, as B is the sixth degree -- not the seventh. Same applies for double-sharps and double-flats. I've scored a B-double-flat chord before: Flatted sixth from key of D-flat.
@jleer1 No it wouldn't. Like I said, "B" is the sixth degree of "D" so when you're playing a Db7 dominant chord, that means the seventh degree (C) is flatted, thus C-flat -- not B. Look at Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier, No. 13. It's F-sharp Major. Say the scale: F-sharp, G-sharp, A-sharp, B, C-sharp, D-sharp, E-sharp. It's E-sharp -- not F-natural. Can't have two F's in the scale. Bar 16 he plays VI chord, D-sharp Major. Spell it: D-sharp, F-double-sharp, A-sharp. It's F-double-sharp -- not G.
@Keeper1st Ok, ok. This video is a cartoon. I just came here to watch a cartoon... 3 weeks ago... and I didn't want to get into something like this. Ok, bye.
@Liebling05 Ever since this episode aired I wondered who did this song. I always remembered the tune, but could not find out the composer, despite going to music school! :-P Thank you for posting this.
I love it always when Plucky and Daffy fly, they should do that more often, then they would avoid a lot of trouble like falling anvils or crazy duckhunters!:D
Hey, at 2:30 when Fifi comes in to do her ballet how come when Dizzy, Furball, and Monty are asleep thet cant smell her stink, but Buster Plucky & Hamton can?
OMG, really really thanks for the uploader!!! I saw this episode when I was 5 but still remember this episode and I was really happy during watching this episode again after 19 years later!!! Really thank you!!!
Anyone else heard "The Wishing Star" from the movie Wakko's Wish? Did they use this usual music for it? Because I've heard it in a lot of Tiny Toons eps.
Heh, I'm amazed that Dizzy, Max and Furrball didn't get a whiff of Fifi's awful smell...though it could very likely be the case that her smell is what knocked them out. XD
Actually, Lola was created in 1996, a year after TTA was cancelled for good, while Babs I think was created in 1990, maybe a year earlier. There's no possible way they could be replicas. I'll admit, they look similar, but the fact remains.
Fun Facts: (1) On the title card of "C Flat or B Sharp" is a Homage to Chuck Jones animated classic "High Note" with the "Drunken Note" that caused Chaos thru out the whole cartoon..
(2) @ 0:55 Buster look a little bit like Alex Anderson & Jay Ward's Crusader Rabbit who was the world first Animated television program.
& (3) This segment was animated by Startoons animation of Chicago Illinois famous for thier animated P.S.A ads for the American Dental Assocation.
Babs is a cross of all the early Warner Bros. female stars including Honey,(from Bosko the Talking Kid) Cookie( from Buddy) Roxy (Foxy's girlfriend) Miss Kitty (Beans's girlfriend) as well as Petunia Pig & the rarely seen Honey Bunny (Bugs Bunny's first girlfriend).
Dot Warner of "Animainiacs" came a few years later but she's a good mentor too (The five that I mentoned were the first five female stars for the Warner Bros. cartoons even though they played "second banana or a love inyerest" in the cartoons & Honey Bunny was more restricted to the Looney Tunes comic books & the Bugs Bunny comic strip in the late 1950's to the 1970's than the actual cartoons).
Sometimes it's necessary to use both B sharp and C flat depending on the key signature. The same would be true for E sharp and F flat. I could go into full detail and giving an example, but I don't think it would fit in a Youtube comment.
But, Bb and A# are the same notes, or Enharmonic equivalents.
I like this cartoon because the producers.Did this to show a cartoon with out anybody talking.Fifi comes down the hall dancing and stinking up a storm. Her sent sends the boys runing with the piano in the other direction.I hope these shows come out on dvd soon.

C flat and B sharp can't exist. There's not a semitone between B and C.

@Keeper1st Yes, but why would you say C flat or B sharp, when you can just say B or C? It makes more sense to say that.
jleer1 3 months ago
@jleer1 No it doesn't. If you're in a key in which C is sharp, are playing that note and want to use the lower chromatic neighboring tone, it's called a B-sharp -- not a C natural. Keeper1st 3 months ago
@Keeper1st I understand that it is the musically correct term, but it would make sense to say the natural name, because it would be a simpler system.
jleer1 3 months ago
@jleer1 No it wouldn't. Like I said, "B" is the sixth degree of "D" so when you're playing a Db7 dominant chord, that means the seventh degree (C) is flatted, thus C-flat -- not B.
