  • This band has kicked my ass since the 80s, always predictably unpredictable. I love them!

  • @Antonio12610 What book is this that you speak of?

And since I'm here... Ty Tabor is an under appreciated and under rated guitar god.

  • KING'S X IS THE BAND ALL OTHER BANDS WISH THEY WERE!

  • @seamus2112ophelan Amen!

  • I wonder if they look back on that video and ask "did we really need to smash all that stuff?" Very uncharacteristic of them, but awesome performance.

  • Best live performance of a song in history.

  • @thethethe777 indeed it was

  • I had a friend at work that went to this show way back when. I had already known of Kings X but he didn't. He came to work the next day and told me about the show. He said, and I quote, "There was this band that came on an blew the crowd away, it was as if everybody in the place woke up and started having the time of their lives. I didn't know who they were but man were they good." ..... He bought 3 albums the next day. Enough said. Best band on earth, all things considered.

  • YIKES! THESE GUYS ARE TOO GOOD!

  • @Antonio12610

True that. King's X is amazing!

This is an awesome jam! Great energy!

  • @Antonio12610 Can you please tell me the book?

  • Oh my God! I've seen King's X at least five times live, but I would give anything to go back in time to see this! They are THE SHIT. And I totally didn't expect Doug to go completely insane at the end either. Wow!

  • I agree this performance was almost God-like, as if they were possessed to kill all other bands performance wise.

They were the best band live that night!

  • i'm am forever blown away by this performance. that jamming section of the solo with dUg and Ty. long live the King's X. KX fan forever!

  • What can I say? King's X rules. Much love. I hope you never die.

  • kings x rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! would love a triple bill - Iron Maiden -,Queensryche An -Kings X

  • How's this for a triple bill...

Kings X, Fishbone, and Living Colour or maybe Lenny Kravits.

    That would rock!

  • Doug's cleanin' da house!!!

    Don't mess with him!!

    Amazing show.

    They deserve a HUGE recognition.

    King's X RULES!

  • Are U in TORONTO??? Just curious because of YYZ...That is the address to Toronto International Airport...Also home to another GREAT ROCK group called RUSH!!! KINGS X= 20 FAT STARS!!! PEACE!!

  • Actually I'm from SouthAmerica. The "YYZ" in my username is a reference to Rush xD and of course I'm a big fan of them! I also know why the song is called YYZ, the band were on a plane, flying to Toronto, etc...

Bye the way--- KING'S X RULES!!!!! RUSH RULES!!!

  • LOL!!!! SO AM I FRIEND!!! XD!!! I just found out about King's X December 2008 And fell in LOVE with their music...Alone,Dogman,and Cigerettes are my favs....I have been a RUSH fan since "PERMANANT WAVES" which I discovered while in U.S. ARMY.I used to listen to them while on guard duty, cleaning weapons,TA-50 inspections and the whole 9...Some of the BROTHAS would trip because I dug me some RUSH until I turned them on to NEIL PEART..after that those BROTHAS started diggin RUSH!! PEACE!!

  • You were in the U.S. ARMY? Oh, How old are you?

Jjahahahaha I found out about King's X in april or may 2007...

Permanent waves is amazing! And I think "Exit... stage left" is the best live performance of Rush. My favorite one.

    Peace from Chile, brother!

  • Who me?? I am old as DIRT!! LOL!!! Late 30's...I would TOTALLY agree with Exit Stage left as being the best LIVE performance....with TOM SAWYER and YYZ being best songs on that disk....JUST MY OPINION Jahahahaha!!! Did you check out NIGGY'S MILK?? Check em PEACE!!

  • It would have sucked to have to go on after this!

    Peace & guitars.

    FREERIDER

  • I just wanna know, how were they NOT able to capitalize off of that set and take the world by storm?? :o/ Awesome performance, no doubt.

  • See the film "Black Purgatory" it will attempt to explain why they and other bands were never as successful and others. Catch it on Youtube while you can.

  • simply the best

  • I think this may have been the best performance by any band ever.

  • Watching this makes me wonder what the Hell I was doing in 1994 that kept me from getting to Woodstock. Damn it!!

  • @MarkDConnelly Exactly why I went and volunteered to work for Woodstock here and in 99.. FYI, this whole set ROCKED!

  • ya kings x was said to be best band at woodstock by mtv , usa today , and howard stern after this preformance!!

  • I'll never understand why these guys weren't huge. That show alone should have done it. Maybe other bands really do go down to the cross roads?

  • And here I thought it was because Pinnick was half American Indian. I'm so stupid.

  • Hey man I' not going to use King's X or this website to debate the issue of racism with you. It could of just as easily been that Dug's homosexuality prevented mainstream succes . I'm not copping out, it's just that I feel this isn't the forum for it. I've always thought this band was a perfect example of all that bullshit being put aside and the racism factor just kind of taints it for me, that's all. Nuff said. God bless and love the postings.

  • You are not stating facts. You are stating opinions.

  • facts factsfacts,now shutup

  • His homosexuality? Yeah like that stopped Judas Priest from selling tons of records. King's X has never been promoted right by a label, end of story.

  • If you carefully note, I said "It could of just as EASILY been that Dug's homosexuality ". I didn't say it was. It could of have been anything. That was the point I was trying to make. I would be inclined to agree with Palmoni's take on it. End of story.

  • it's because their music is too complicated for da masses;simple as that.had this "discussion"way too many times with the bandmembers& their roadcrews over the years

  • Progressive music isn't popular with the masses, hence the title "POP" music from popular. Music has to be simple for simple folk and american young people who make up a HUGE market. (You know, the Hannah Montana crowd) These guys are aged and progressive but the thrid stirke is that it's hard to find a head lining act that wants to go on AFTER King's X. They're TOO DAMN GOOD! Ain't THAT a kick in the pants! It has NOTHING to do with racism or homosexuallity.

  • Well spoken.

  • One of my favorite bands, but they didn't hit big because they sing about GOD. Watching the headbangers mosh/slam to this is ironic. Even stranger is Dug's display of rage/destruction after singing a set's worth of self-help lyrics. "LOVE keeps it all together"... right? AWESOME band & top-notch talent, but these guys are too squeaky-clean in their convictions to be accepted by those embracing the dirtier rock-n-roll lifestyle. Lose this & bring on the Motley Crue and Buckcherry... JK.

  • Ever met these guys? They're some of the nicest people I've ever met. I think they we're kind of expecting to be huge like Boston or Journey and they got disappointed when that didn't happen. Dug freaked out?? When did this happen?

  • THEN GOD MUST BE A BLACK MAN IF THATS THE CASE!!!! I dont know who "THEY" HATE THE MOST GOD OR THE BLACK MAN....PROBABLY A TIE!!!! LOL!!! OR A BLACK MAN BY A NOSE!!!! STRANGE???SHIT HES JUST EXPRESSING THE RAGE HE COULD NOT EXPRESS ANY OTHER WAY WITHOUT DOING LIFE IN THE NAZI CONCENTRATION CAMPS SOME CALL PRISON IN THE U.S.

  • A-fuckin'-mazing!

  • I'm a 37 year old man and I'm fighting back a lump in my throat from watching this. King's X will rule forever!

  • this is the most intense version of moanjam i've ever heard. as you can tell from my youtube screen-name, i'm crazy about the song. ;-) doug pinnick sent me a copy of this on video tape after i wrote him and told him i would loved to have heard their performance at woodstock.

  • look up in the dictionary;sincere-it says dUg Pinnick

  • Could you imagine having to be the band that had to follow King's x at this wood-stock II gig lololol

I think I would pass out before I ever made it to the stage. These guys are just sick live go see them anywhere you can.

  • i believe it was sheryl crow. :-)

  • Thank you! And for our next number...

  • great ending!! Doug's cleaning da house!! don't mess with him!! XD

  • Fuckin' great tune from King's X ...
