The elementary school a few of my friends went to has that same fire alarm panel tied into an old Simplex 4208 panel from when the school was first built. The signals are old Simplex 4051 horns on 4050-80 light plates.
I have the keyswitch wired to the terminals for the switch on the pull station, so pulling the station or activating the switch will do the same thing. The LED is wired to the strobe circuit as they both operate on 24v.
Ah, I thought it was a four-wire smoke reset. Which is what they're primarily used for. I have mine setup like that. The switch was wired to the SLC loop and the LED was hooked to the strobe NAC so it turns off when the system is reset. Mine is here:
pretty much. It does act as an fire alarm though, so the signal from the dialer would be received by a central station if it were hooked up, unlike the drill mode on other panels.
maybe its to test the dialer as well, if it shows the station that its a manual evac maybe a school or business can have instructions not to send the FD
Hey I have a request. Is their a drill button on the annunciator? if so, could you do a drill with the annunciator, and put up your 9806 by itself. Thanks!
1) i already had a backbox installed there so i figured i'd use it and 2) it's more commonly used for duct sensors (the test switch that is) so you'd find them (or at least i have) near the ceilings

Why not just pull a station?

It was requested I did it like this

Is manual evacuation like drill mode.

That's stupid.
If it were a drill, I wouldn't want it to notify the station.
coffeeandsugar20 3 years ago
I agree. I'm sure there's some way you can disable that by reprogramming the entire panel, but that's too much work for a fire drill.

The annunciator doesn't have a button on it's own, but I'll get the rest of that up if you'd like

Nice! why is the test station beside the 9423?
