When I think back to this era, I find that this is one of those tracks that drift through my mind. ROD, this track was big over here in the UK too (circa 1982).
Why didn't you let the whole song play? THIS SONG IS THE SH*T!!! Rod tore up the Paradise Garage with this and Shake it Up...glad I still have the original 12"
Me and a friend of mine helped him out a couple of days ago. He was on his way to a friend, but he was lost completely. He asked us for directions, but we didn't knew them too. We lent our cell to him and he called his friend to ask.
After all, he was very thankful we helped him out and he invited us to his Abraham party at the Beurs!! He was very friendly and we are very looking forward to his performance at the Beurs!!
The funniest part of it was we didn't even knew him. But now we do!!
Where is the time ? It brings me also a lot of nice memories of my foolish years back in 1982 and this was a huge smash hit in the clubs in Belgium !!! Keep on walking, dudes !
Amazing, I met Rod a view years ago in Groningen Holland, he's still doing his thing here. Met him again last night at Cafe Buckshot in Groningen. Rod is living here and as said still going strong!
Funky grooves from Congo-brazzaville's ROD a.k.a Rod Niangandoumou. Yeah the dude was er ROD funkin'it up way back then. NA KO LOBA NINI (lingala) = what am I gonna say !!
Le frère ROD du Congo brazza déchirait...souvenirs puissant. et ce Lingala rap... RESPECT merci pour les belles vibrations.... NA KO LOBA NINI (lingala) = que dire. TOUT SIMPLEMENT FABULEUX.
