  • Dvl1507, maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but are you saying FF is old? Nikon came out with DX before going FF. what are trying to say? I'm not looking to argue, just trying to understand. Do you think it isn't beneficial to go FF? I don't want to insult you, but you know more than the engineers at Nikon and canon? Also, when you swear alot, it gives the impression that you're very uneducated. Pls don't take it the wrong way, I don't know you. Maybe you're just extremally passionate about your c

  • Nikon retards. Lol. I am one. Although Olympus is very interesting to me. Their lenses are definatally top notch, but micro 4/3? I just don't know. I have d3s and cropped sensors worry me. I'd like to look at an e-5 or whatever comes next, but when you have literally thousands invested in good glass, it's not easy to switch. And fumbling with two different systems doesn't make sense either. I wonder why more pros don't use Olympus. It seems to be good equipment.

  • Whatever happened to all the Nikon retards who used to come here and say the cheaper D7000 is better than E-5...? They've already dumped D7000 as flimsy amatuer has-been and now praising the newer D4/D800 whatever... while E-5 remains highly desirable and will go down as one of the legendary Olympus equipment along with E-3.

  • e5 beats the pants off anything which doesnt cost more than 10,000

  • liar minimal noise at 6400, other than that everything else true.

50-200 swd kicks competions behind allday.

  • lol.. 3 year old sensor, thats 1/4 the size of FF.. the GH2 has better picture quality

  • @JogBird Although E-3 is still a great camera, E-5 has improved IQ due to new image processor. Seasoned photographers can comeup with some amazing images with E3 and E5, just go see Japanese Olympus websites for a number of professional samples they have posted. D7000 is a good camera... there are reasons why D7000 is relatively cheap compared to E-5 and it isn't because Nikon is generous.

  • @JogBird wow u must be brainwashed by the magazine and all those bullshit

yet u know NOTHING about olympus E system, but u comment that GH2 is better?

Panasonic makes the sensor for oly, but its not the sensor itself that produces IQ.

A lot of other things do contribute.

if u think the bigger the sensor the better the IQ, why dont u use a large format camera?

FYI, 12.3MP in OLYMPUS E5 could print 3 x 4 METRE with 300 above DPI

bigger sensor better IQ? think again

  • @DVL1507 FF = better image quality. IE the bigger the sensor = better bokeh. Also the bigger the sensor the better low light performance. I can print billboard size prints with a little help from genuine fractals. You must not be a pro. I think you are just a butt hurt fanboy. And before you call me a Nikon fanboy I also own a Canon 5d Mark 2 with the 50mm f1.2 for my home camera.

  • @EverlastingStills

    duh, whatever douche

FF=better image quality? like i said in the first, BRAINWASHED

because of those 2 giant manufactures, everyone thinks that FF is the best ideal sensor size.

    FF = OLD SYSTEM

    FT/mFT = NEW system

oly makes full digital from ground up

when u look at the result oly camera can produce, then u will think about it again

yes, sensor + = bokeh +, sensor + = low light + cause u could spread the pixel apart so each pixel has more room to collect light

  • @EverlastingStills HAHA, everyone thinks that 5d mk ii is the super camera. although i have to admit it, it is a great camera for video-ing and pretty good for stills --see, im not biased shit as you are 50mm F1.2? so what? proud that canon has that and oly does not? search for oly's OM lenses bitch what do oly have that canon dont have? lets see, 14-35 F2.0? 35-100 F2.0? 90-250 F2.8? 12-60, the fastest AF lens in the world? First LIVE VIEW FIRST SWIVEL most effective SSWF
  • @EverlastingStills go ahead, i dont mind u or anyone uses their own preferable choice of brand

    its your choice anyway

as long as you can make pictures, why not?

what I dont like is that people like YOU especially, those brainless shithead who knows nothing about other brand's system, comments like this "lol... 3year old sensor, thats 1/4 the size of FF..the GH2 has better IQ" WTF

    got my point?

    SHUT THE FUCK UP

  • @EverlastingStills and 1 more thing,

if you're such a pixel peeper about the bokeh etc, ever consider german-made lenses? Carl Zeiss? Leica?

ever consider buying a hasselblad or something?

let me guess, "oh i only know Canon and i've never tried other brand"

or "ups yeah i know thos germans are good, but i cant afford it, so i stick with my canon and comments on every utube videos that canon is the best, so that i would not be embarassed"

    STFU

not so "PRO" anymore right now huh?

  • @DVL1507 When you shoot sports and weddings Zeiss is not practical for Nikon users because of the lack of auto focus, you will be to busy trying to nail the focus instead of capturing great photographs and yes I have owned a Leica M8. The M8 was a great camera until I sold it to help pay for my Nikkor 300mm f2.8. Look fuck face Canon and Nikon are the best right now and OlymPUSS sucks in comparison . Deal with it n00b and you STFU.

  • @EverlastingStills wow you must have no guts to reply on my replies

moving the topic to sports and wedding? i never said that before

Canon and Nikon are the most POPULAR camera brand, i agree

I also had a 5dmkii, thats why i could say those things MOTHAFUCKA

I like the 5dmkii, using it with few zeiss prime.

why not those "L" lenses? cause canon tends to be soft in the image. use a zeiss lens and it will reveal the detail greatly. FUCK UP MOTHAFUCKA

    for oly? SHG/HG ZUIKO + E 5 = perfect image

  • @EverlastingStills

why do i have 5dmkii? cause i could print huge sizes out of that shit

other than that, OLYMPUS OWNS IN EVERY ASPECT<<MAKE SURE U UNDERSTAND THAT BITCH

    AF ? OLY WINS

    COLOUR ACCURACY = OLY WINS

    SHARPNESS=OLY WINS

EVERYTHING other than print size and availability of stock = OLY WINS

SHUT THE FUCK UP AMATEUR "going to auto mode and pretend i could shoot" FUCK FACE

  • @DVL1507 IMHO, you're right with your comment. I am an Olympus owner, and when when working with my business partner (who owns a Canon 5D Mark II, the clients always end up selecting my photos... Zuiko lenses are of so good by the way. And I still have an E-3.

  • I don't see how anybody can say the D7000 is a laughable camera. I don't see how anybody can say the E-5 is a laughable camera. Just shoot with the equipment that works best for you and keep it moving.

  • I didn't know people used Olympus

  • @ghpatriot Nor do I. I'll stick with my Nikon D3s thank you. He said he can shoot up to 6400 ISO and I say to him welcome to 2007 LOL.

  • @EverlastingStills The E5 is about the same as a Nikon D7000

  • @ghpatriot Nikon D7000 is a laughable toy camera compared to professional Olympus E-5. If someone gave me D7000 for free, I would sell it on ebay the very next day while saving my money for the sweet E-5.

  • @fvgotch Olympus E5 is so pro LOL. You are joking right? Nikon glass > Olympus glass. Nikon > Olympus.

  • @EverlastingStills Olympus pro lenses sucha s 14-35mm f 2.0 and 35-100mmm f2.0 not only have the fast speed for zoom lens, but they have color characteristic no Nikon and Canon lenses can match. You can stick to your nikon like billions of other users, I'd like to be different so I use Olympus.

  • @fvgotch

Since I also don't fall for the Canon-Nikon bandwagon, I have been looking at Pentax and Olympus, but haven't been able to decide between the two. What are the points that have made you choose Olympus?

  • @gecmartins Well I own E-1 and E-3 and I really love the ergonomics of those two models. They fit just right in my hand. After learning to apply rule of thirds composition, I found the 4/3rd sensor frame is attractive & unique. I can use fast zoom lenses f/2.0 and they have color and contrast different from the usual canon/nikon. Thet are well constructed including their mid to high end lenses. I've shot film for years and Oly's 1600 ISO is plenty good enough, I don't need 6 billion+ ISO.

  • @EverlastingStills yet another stupid Nikon fans

    u ever tried Zuiko Lens?

Ever tried Oly E-5 or even E-5?

i bet u dont even know this brand after all

Too bad olympus has very few user that really know the true potential of their system

Nikkor Glass is very good, if used with Nikon Cameras. They are used by NASA.

Zuiko Lenses are very good also, if used with Olympus system.

    Nikon > Olympus? STFU

  • @DVL1507 Do you take pictures for a living or is it just a hobby? If you are like me and you pay the bills with your photography you need reliability. My Nikon system has never let me down, I have used it in rain and snow. I have held a E5 and it felt like a toy and the 11 points of focus was slow when compared to my D3s with its 51 points of focus. BTW you STFU and go play with your toy camera.
