  • @jumpball001 1., please look at how old this video is, this is almost 5 years ago, it's quite possible that my newer stuff might be better, or perhaps I've improved over that time... 2. I can't seem to find any of your uploads to compare...

  • @neosonic66 thats tru i dont put any of my stuff up here. maybe i should but im just lazt to record it. im not saying im the shit either. but man its whatever i would of just got it RIGHT! and then uploaded it thats all im saying

  • @neosonic66

    2. is a stupid argument imho, don't really get it why people use it all the time, its much more logical to just accept the critique and try to work on it. I mean lets get rid of all sport commentators then too! ^^

And yeah, you got some notes wrong or a bit out of rhytm but it was quite enjoyable, seen many people doin' it worse =)

  • @Dryeyescrying 1. is the much more important part of that... I did that 5 years ago... people don't look at the time of upload before they make comments. Yeah, 5 years ago, it wasn't perfect, it's not perfect today. But people don't offer constructive comments, just 'that sucked' , and that helps no one improve. It's frustrating as a player to see ignorance abound on most comments, and having your own videos at least offers credibility to someone who might know something about the guitar.

  • dude you should make a tutorial for real

  • Take the EMG's off the Les Paul for this song. It's Zeppelin, not Metallica. The video and playing are flawless like always however.

  • why would you even say metallica its zakk wylde who uses these

  • First I ever saw EMG's in a Les Paul was Kirk Hammet of Metallica. I'm not much of a Zakk Wylde fan I wouldn't know as well as you would.

  • @zakk7929 What the?

Do you know how many different guitarists use EMG's? To the best of my knowledge, David Gilmour started the EMG craze before Kirk Hammet or Zakk Wylde, who both use EMG's.

  • @Atlantis8788 a year ago i didnt no shit

  • @zakk7929

Ahaha I don't even know why I bothered commenting on this a year later. We both have good musical taste, lets leave it at that.

  • @Atlantis8788 true

  • AMAZING

  • NICE!!!

  • molto bene

  • Dude i have the same guitar and it's awesome! nice playing!

  • you fucked your les qwith emgs take them out

  • NICE !!!

  • great job.

    mark

  • simply beautiful. 5*

  • very very nice

  • Alot of people think if they buy a 59 Les Paul they will sound just like Page. You have 2 practice 24/7 ,worry about the guitar later. Don`t forget Page sounded great with a Telecaster also (his Stairway solo is done on it) Great Job Neo!!

  • yeah, you need to work your ass out ... but it isn't just practice, it's very rare to a Clapton or a Page to be born ( and become famous ) ... read Clapton's book, sometimes he wouldn't play for 2-3 days in his youth

  • great job, i've got a video of the intro as well.

  • I do a jam over the faster section, it does not sound like Page though!

  • i am so jealous!

    my future guitar

and u can play my favorite song... : (

  • so now, 4 months ago it was ur future guitar or not xD???..

  • yes, i just don't have enough yet. i'm working my way i already have over $700.

  • cool xD i just got my Les paul today

  • hurry prices are increasing by ALOT!

  • i know but they are going to drop again in august.

  • and how much do you have now?

  • $959

  • nice! I'll get mine this/beginning next month

  • EXELENT MY FREAND GODD VERY GODD

  • Thank you!

  • lesson!!! lesson!!!

  • can you tell me the settings on your overdrive and amp settings?

Cuz i been trying to get that Jimmy Page sound and still havent got my finger on it.

    Enything will help

    Thnx

  • I recorded this well over a year ago... but for a les paul, I would set it up with mids around 9, treble around 6, bass around 4 for this song, and presence up around 6 or 7ish, set your gain to the point where you can easily clean up the sound by rolling the guitar volume pot lower, and still able to achieve a nice gain sound with the pot at 10

  • Thank you so much. It sounds alot better than what i had before.

    Thnx

  • Nice job!

  • awesome,really;)!!

  • i dont even play this song note for note,

its just really fun to jam and improvise to

  • hell yeah, cm is the greatest improv key. great sounds

  • i know, Cm is such a bluesy key, just great for inprov.

Fm is another fav of mine

  • Fm = orion from metallica?

  • sure. and then of course theres f#m, another one of my favs. Dm is also great... so is E... A... hahaha in other words i just love playin the guitar

  • nice

  • dude! wtf at first you started off kinda boring (no offense) but then at 0:48 (the cool part) you went into super awsome mode! from then on was SICK!!

  • haha, thanks man!

  • it wasn't boring man.the whole intro was awesome,altho,when overdrive comes in,,its TOTALY awesome.very good job neosonic66

  • have u ever heard the song? thats the way it sounds

  • Exactly!

This is they way Jimmy does it. It is even more dramatic when he is playing the song live. This cover was perfect. The intro is supposed to be mellow and this guy does just that. :)

  • you should hear when page does it in how the west was won. he does it so perfect with so much improv. amazing

  • excellent... chers this really help when i was learning the song and playing along to this =]

  • Great job! I wanted you to keep on playing. One of LZ's best songs and JP at his finest.

  • Man, that was incredible. Really fucking good! Page would be proud. Such a gorgeous damn tone! What Gibson have you got, what's your settings, and whats your amp?

  • Hi, and thank you. It's a gibson les paul custom, lead channel on a marshall tsl60 with a 1960A cabinet. I don't remember the exact settings but somewhere in the neighborhood of Bass - 6, Mids - 7.5, Treble - 6, and then I just use the volume nob on the guitar to adjust the amount of gain

  • Thanks, that's awesome. How long you been playing? I've got a Gibson les Paul Custom 82 Supreme, and a Marshall G15R CD. Just trying to get the tone, y'know? Also, what pick-ups is your les sporting? Again, great playing, you've inspired me to really tackle this number. I'm having trouble getting the vibrato sounding decent on the bends though, any tips?

  • those are EMG's but I normally prefer my burstbuckers in the LP standard for pagey tone... I use a lot of classical vibrato, like you'd see on a violin in this song, which some people either really like or hate, but you can definitely try it out

  • Really helpful, thanks alot. Keep rocking that Les! :D

  • great tone, played nearly perfectly, good job :)

  • dude that is great! you are crazy awsome! make more videos! please! and yes you would probably nail the solo too. keep playin!

  • The tone on that thing is beautiful! You should post the solo, you'd probably nail it.

  • Nice job! This is one of my favourite led zeppelin songs. I play keyboard so i especially like this song caus of its cool organ part. But man Jimmy Page would be proud of you!

  • Thank you! I really appreciate it, this song still gives me goose bumps every time I hear it, it's one of the greatest ever

  • i got it from a site called guitarbt . com

  • pretty sweet.

  • Eww EMG's. Other then that, it was really, really good! Keep it up!

  • respect man,peace!:)

  • Man playin like this must make the panties fly off. :) If you can play like this it is like having a 9 inch wang.

  • haha, i've never quite thought of it like that exactly, but I like where your head's at

  • worthy of page, can give no higher praise than that

  • thanks, I appreciate that

  • very cool nice feeling too

  • Awesome. Now this just needs to go on Guitar Hero.

  • brilliant!!!!!!!

  • yo man you should "get into it" more often that was AWESOME! great truly great

  • haha, thanks, maybe i will!

  • amazing

  • You play with amazing feeling...awesome

  • Amazzzing job man!!!

  • amazing.. i have to start learning this song

  • omg nice good job !!!

  • This was simply a beautiful experience...watching you play this!!! Nice job!

  • the 'gettin into it part' was really good! great video =] subscribed =]

  • dobra robota ( good work )

  • oh wow! You are so good, led zep is my absolute favorite band in the world, and their bluesiest jams are the ultimate. by the way, i think you made it even better when you were into it...all the more feeling is heard:)

  • thanks!

  • that was amazing man

  • great job bro i could tell you were feelin it. where did you get the backing track?

  • i replied in your other video-

hey do you think that camera you are using captures the sound well?

i need to get one and make some clips i guess-lol

    what camera is that?

  • i had my TSL60 modded by FJAmods and now it is one SICK bad ass mofo!

  • what did you have done?

  • Perfect.

  • man, one can see that you feel it. bravo!

  • I'm considering buying a TSL60. Would you recommend?

In other words, are you satisfied with the TSL 60? I'm playing a Gibson LP Classic, Gretsch 6120 and vdHaar Strotcaster (Suhr PU's)

  • yes, i'm very satisfied, check out my 'Description of my Gear' video for a better demo of what it does, great cleans all the way to modern crunch, very versatile (i do have to use an overdrive pedal for more extreme metal tones though) and you will require a power attenuator to play at bedroom levels with a lot of power-amp gain

  • Thanks for your quick reply. I'll check out your oyher vids. Do you use a power attenuator yourself en when yes which one ? Do you use it in the "Since i've been lovin'you vid ??

  • yes, I'm using a THD Hot Plate, and for a TSL-60 you'll need the 16ohm model to match the output impedance of the amp / input impedance of the speaker cab

  • niice:P keep up the good work!

  • u just made my day

  • best heard so far.!

  • That was fucking awesome

  • that was beautiful

  • wow.. great job.

  • awesome sound man

  • You didn't slide off of the last note like a madman! lol. Well it was really good anyway.

  • nice job mate

  • you play wit some soul man wen i listend to it i got some chills very nice.

  • awesome, sounds just like jimmy. dont listen to other these fools on here like mary jane

  • nice one man, good feeling

  • you've got a classical vibrato going

  • wow...cool u got the feel....

  • Great!

  • Feeling<3

  • man u've got the dream equipment right there

    gib les paul and marshall

    nice

now u need some pedals lol

  • nice but try practicing slower and punctuating the notes

  • hahahahah you kinda look like sylar off heros in the first part...

  • hey man u should get a jcm 2000 tsl 100 marshal ....dude....omg they will rock your tits

  • He has a Marshall JCM2000 Tsl60

  • dude....i mean on sum kinds of music it just sounds wierd...is that a gibson anyway

  • i see no one actually reads the video descriptions... hehe... but yes, it's a gibson les paul custom with an emg 81 / 85

  • That guitar looks like the one Buckethead has! I WANT ONE!!!!

  • its wierd w ith les pauls...i play one my self but they dont sound to good on clean...do ya know what i mean?

  • Ask Angus Young how often he worries about the sound of his Les Paul on clean :p

  • Didn't mean to take anything away from your cover. Absolutely phenomenal...Awesome

  • nice

  • Hey man, just saw another guy (vanderbilly)doing this song. He was great too like you. Your tone is awesome ( i love Les Pauls and have one too!)What is your setup? (amp, distortion) You have the tone down perfectly! I think you have the lead part down a bit better and maybe he has the chord parts a little better. (maybe just that descending chord part)Have you seen his clip?

  • you can check out my whole setup on my other video 'description of my gear', but for this particular song the only effect i'm using is the reverb on the amp, no pedals... the increase in gain is just from the volume pot on the guitar

  • Hey,

Both vanderbilly and neosonic66 are excellent. Have you heard jun626 playing the solo of this song? It's mind blowing too!!

  • AHH THAT'S THE EXACT GUITAR I WANT!!!

  • You're a very good player. Love the tone, love the guitar, very very awesome.

  • Thats great playing! but could you right a song or a rift or improv a solo as good as page did?

  • nope

  • lol i coulnt either....i paly guitar to

    hes a guitar riff god!

  • Very nice playing. Btw, where did you get the background tracking for this song?

  • guitar pro

  • How much did ur guitar cost? must be damn expensive since its gibson..

  • dude i love that guitar where do you get it?

  • i got it in 2002 brand new at a Sam Ash store in Tampa, FL

  • nice les paul

  • Damn. This song just makes me want to have some hot, sweaty sexx.

  • That sounds fuckin' amazing. Totally nails the tone on that song.

  • Wow! Great feeling

  • i left u a video responce with me playing this and some other stuff, its probably not as good as you though

  • Nice man VERY Nice!

  • Les Pauls are so friggin gay, play Fender!

  • Fender??? MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH... Yep.

  • No they`re not.I`ve got a Gibson Les Paul and they`re fantastic guitars. If anything,Fenders are the "gay"guitars.A bit lighter, easier on the shoulder.

  • fender is shit, keep up the good work mah man.

  • very nice, i liked it

  • I Love that White Gibson LP. It's so cool. It fits the song too.

  • how do u get the backin music without the guitar track in the backround?

  • hey man i play death metal and u no blues funk and classic rock but im in the market for a stack and im really interested in the tsl cause its amazing but...do u think that the 60watt head would be loud enough for my heavy style of music..(is the 60 watt loud?) or should i spend the extra bucks and try to afford the 100 watt lol please get back 2 me on that one

    -dale

  • I haven't really posted on here, but I mainly play metal and metalcore... when it comes to wattage on an amp, 60 watts is not really much lower volume wise than 100 watts, both are incredibly loud. As a comparison, a 15 watt tube wamp is roughly as loud as a trumpet being played as loud as possible. To get true metal tone, I have to crank the power tubes (mast vol 7+) and I also put an overdrive pedal on top of everything. I then have to play with (cont in next comment)

  • earplugs AND a power attenuator because it's so loud. The 60 watt is plenty loud, and I've played the 100 watt as well, both are insanely loud, but both will require a pedal to push the amp into pure metal distortion. The only amps I know of on the tube side of the house that can produce pure metal tone from just the amp alone would be like the Krank Krankenstein, and MAYBE a Mesa Boogie Triple Rec,

  • what about engl fireball?

  • the Krank is insanely expensive, as is the Mesa though.. keep in mind Kerry King of Slayer has always used Marshall's and Slayer's no stranger to heavy-ass tone, hope this helps, later bud

  • thanks man

  • can you tell me how u got the back round music ?!? i want to make a verson of this too please

  • Wonderful playing and nice guitar!

  • sweeeeeeeet man...im getting a schecter c-1 hellraiser soon

  • Very nice..What is the notes on this can u please send me it =Dit would be nice=P

  • Lovely playing .... and nice to see someone using the guitar itself to alter the sound rather than just pedals!! Would love to see the rest.

  • good, good, very good, really desde argentina thanks for this video

  • Awesome stuff man! Very well played. At 00:48 do you switch channels or use a boost of some sort?

  • with a tube amp, the volume pots on the guitar are much more responsive... so i'm playing in a overdrive channel, but the vol pot is just turned down until that part, then I just throw it up to 8 or so and you get that overdrive, and thanks for the comment!

  • absolutely fantastic! instead of 8 try 4, or maybe 5 for the vol gain. i LOVE the overdriven sound from a lester. not too crazy about full distortion though. (i also am a little partial to good old pafs)

  • OMG! That was f***n' awsome! But that was just a tease. We want the whole thing. :)

  • Very nice job dude - great feel.

  • Wow! You nailed that one! That was an awesome performance.

  • love it. you have quite a unique vibrato style.

  • Great feeling in your playing.

  • Great man! Great job!

  • are you sure you are not possessed y hendrix's soul or something?? grrat playin

  • great ude of dynamics! and great use of the volume knob for altering the gain! your phrasing aswell is awesome! if i were you tho i would make that vibrato a bit wider and slower tho! keep up the good work mate!

  • thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it, and yeah I hear you on the vibrato, I was fooling around with it like you suggested, and I think it holds with the feel of the song a bit better, thanks again buddy

  • very nice indeed.

  • good!

  • thats my guitar!!! i love it! :D
