Not sure upto what percent what this lady saying is true.

It's ridiculous to think that a lady will file a case against her in-laws just for fun.

Though texas and california are pretty far , if some one needs to harass they could do it through phone....May be she tried to play tricks with her SIL via her brother

that must be the reason , the SIL waited for a chance for this lady to file a case /arrest her then and there.

I am from Atlanta, GA. My brother is also a victim of such an abuse. My sympathies to you Bhavani. The unfortunate thing is that neither man nor God wants to punish the real culprit. So we suffer. I have heard a lots and lots of cases in which this anti dowry law is being abused. The lawmakers are crazy and they have no idea what coomon man faces. Again my sympathies to you. I wish to help each one of such victim.
