Safety is number one but you have to love the overexageration of the guy smoking the cigar while messing around with the muzzleloader, and the way he flipps it to get the ash off.
but common sence is always good especialy keep that cap off of it till you are ready to fire.
Shoot clean , shoot clean ,shoot clean win siteing in and you will never have it go off on you when your loading it had a buddy did this and the T handle went through his hand I recommend site in with a clean barrel and go hunting with a clean barrel.the term scoring your barrel is dangerous.
