  • Golbez and his Four Fiends disliked!

  • Since I listen hyadain's version of this theme, I can't listen this piece in the same way again...

  • The absolute best boss music of all time :)

  • Comment removed

  • KAIN,JUMP OMG

  • so intimidating.

  • How many "four fiends" sets are there?

  • no theme mp3. WHACK.

  • Only now I realise it says Fiends and not Friends.

  • @UshiCakeIsALie HOLY FUCKING SHIT I JUST NOTICED WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!1

  • DS file not available anymore on MEGAUPLOAD

    re-upload it please? :[

  • The 4 fiends should be an assist in Duodecim for Golbez.

  • nice intro bro =D

  • Scarmiglione... Cagnazzo... Barbariccia... Rubicante... Golbez!!! You're going down!!!

Although, the fights with them were pathetic, Scarmiglione giving me the most trouble. Golbez and the rest were pushovers.

  • The Four Fiends didn't like this song. XD

  • Reminds me so much of the Edge part in FF2/4 loved that. Edge has learned Flood and Blitz and becomes a badass in this cutscene/dialogue before the fight.

  • GENTLEMEN! GENTLEMEN!

  • the fiend of wind is the only female archiend xD

  • Cagnazzo, Valvalis, Rubicant, who was the fourth one?

  • @dexter1981

Milon, in the SNES version. Scarmiglione in the DS version.

  • @jeffreyjackson1986 Its Scarmiglione in the GBA Advanced version as well.

  • @KetsuRosataMalnor

yeah, nintendo had a habit of dumbing down their games when they came to america, not only in difficulty, but japan's overly complicated names as well. its actually kinda funny, despite his name looking so convoluted, its incredibly easy to pronounce ^_^ scar-me-lee-on :D

  • @leafblight27 What the g is silent? That's odd...I seem to always make the g pronunouced in them as Scar-meeg-lee-on. Sounds better to me as well.

  • @KetsuRosataMalnor

the new ff4 they made has voicework :P I can't find any clips of them saying his name, but i do have this vid of the japanese voice actors for the 4 fiends singing the fiend song, you can hear them pronounce it fairly easily, /watch?v=C8vz186pjY0

  • @leafblight27 Eh, but the japanese have funky ways of prounouncing english letters, like if a word ends in k it's alwasy prounounced with an ah at the end, and the ah almost sounds like an er sound. So that's not too much to go off of. Then again maybe I'd just rather pronouce the g. Just like Cecil is pronouced "Ce-cell" to me to it is and alwasy should be "Cee-ceel* As that is how the name Cecil is pronouced in english more often then naught, but that's just merely my preference.

  • @KetsuRosataMalnor

well you cant really reason that they are saying the name wrong or funny because the names were Japanese to begin with, their saying them perfectly :P But yeah i understand, i get the same things with chocobo's, i always called them co-co-bo, cocoa, as in like chocolate :D choke-a-bo just sounds wrong =_=

  • The four fiends were some of the most awesome villains in video game history. Rubicant was so badass that he actually healed you so he could kick your ass at full strength.

  • @DarkfireSuperSonic Before we begin... let me heal you. Lol

Belgamine in FFX did the same with Yuna's Aeons.

  • ugh this brings me back to the first time i fought rubicant i didnt lvl much at all so it was an epic battle

  • This song could be played when facing a giant mutated version of a villain played by an AWESOME actor or actress. Ideas anyone?

  • Rubicante: You know, I think I'm the sexiest of the lords.

    Barbariccia: Yeah, you're probably right.

  • I'm still playing through the game at the time of writing this comment, and I'm also reading Dante's Inferno. In Canto XXI I learned that it turns out the names of all four fiends come from demons mentioned in Inferno. Couple this with the Gilgamesh reference in FFV (and a few others) and I guess some of the designers must be big fans of epic poetry.

  • You can't present this.

  • Only problem with DS version is that there's no secret dungeon for after you beat the game D;

    Just a special boss :c

  • DS version is awesome

  • i LOVED the part in the game in which you had to fight all 4 fiends at once to bad they didnt attacked you all at once but instead they go 1 at the time >,>

  • @Espada5NnoitraJiruga ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY!

  • @TheKeg01 or Rubicante's idea of being fair? since he actually heals your party and seems to fight "fairly"

  • @Espada5NnoitraJiruga (The four lords read this, look at each other, face palm, then lay into the party.)

  • @Espada5NnoitraJiruga Haha they were just too enormous to put them all on the screen at once.

  • @Espada5NnoitraJiruga Dude, if they all came at the same time it would be impossible to beat

  • @MagnisionZero lol why is that? you have 5 chars in IV which to my opinion makes it the easiest FF games ive play'd, just focus on scarminglione, keep using thunder on Cagnazzo, let 1 or 2 people focus on healing and then we finaly might have a challeging boss :)

  • @Espada5NnoitraJiruga

Tornado plus Insert Multirange move here.

And Rubacante would screw you over.

  • @Espada5NnoitraJiruga I actually thought I was going to shit my pants thinking I was going to have to fight all of them at the same time.

  • I would have ganged up on them and killed them all. I mean if they all attacked at once that would have been really hard

  • @Espada5NnoitraJiruga i dont remember that was it in the ds version?

  • @Espada5NnoitraJiruga if they were to fight the player the 4 of them in a single battle, then i would be VERY dificult to beat them...it would be impossible to defeat them withou luck

  • @Espada5NnoitraJiruga You would only probably fight three at a time most anyway if they changed it later considering Rubicante was more of an honorable villain.

  • @Espada5NnoitraJiruga

in the original japanese difficulty these four were an ungodly challenge, all four at once would have simply been implausible, but, when you think about it, i think it would have been badass if they had taken advantage of the dumbed down american difficulty and made them all four fight at once 8D

  • @Espada5NnoitraJiruga like on action movies

  • @Espada5NnoitraJiruga Yeah, some battle strategy right? Rubicante probably thought that one up since he likes a fair fight.

  • I didn't even expect Scarmiglione's back attack.

  • a request pls,can u make tis theme a lil longer

  • This is one of my favorite battle themes of all time, not just favorite FF one, of every game i've ever played, it's just one of them though, I should make a video of the Top 5 best battle songs...

  • I'd want Clash on The Big Bridge on that list.

  • Wow.. I must be old.

I remember Milon.. Kainazzo, Rubicante, and Valvalis. By far, this was one of the more 'epic' battle themes from my childhood. :) So many memories...

"Now I will restore your strength!

...Fight with all of your might!"

  • Amazing something so orchestral sounding was on Super Nintendo back in 1991.

  • What do you expect it was wehn Square had all their good ideas

  • Babariccia is a really cool name

  • u know what mean in Italian ?

  • But... what about the Wonderswan version? D: D:

  • For anyone who cares but doesn't know, these guys are in the FFI remake for the PSP. You fight them each individually in one of the bonus dungeons.

  • ITS A BACK ATTACK!!

  • Really now? Cause I'm looking at my Black Mages CD and it clearly says "Battle With The Four Fiends".

I think I'll trust what Uematsu and his crew say it is over you. Thanks though.

  • Actually a back-attack didn't happen in FFIV that I recall. I haven't played the DS version so I wouldn't know if back attacks are in that version.

  • in the DS version when this song first plays you face Scarmiglione and your party line-up is inverted so if you had cecil in the back row then he would be in the front in the back attack battle

  • there are back attacks, preemptive strikes and surprises in the ff4 ds.

  • hehe the boss even does a back attack!

  • peekaboo motherfucker!

oh shit cecil were blocked from all sides what should we do?

Cecil: uh=m i think let's let edge do all the work

    Edge: what?!

*edge beat them all with useing flood blize blaze and thowing shurikens*

    it worked for me

  • "OH SHIT WE'RE SURROUNDED."

Cecil: THAT'S FUCKING IT I'M USING THE HACKS.

  • I love ff4!!

    Very nice video!!

  • scarmiglione (the poison freak)

    cagnazzo(the deceiver)

    barbarriccia(the sexy temptress)

    rubicante(the honorable enemy)

these four are my worst enemys in old final fantasy games but also my favorite.

  • rubicante...

i believe he was the "honorable"(not sure how to state him) bad guy

  • The Archfiends:

    -Scarmiglione

    -Cagnazzo

    -Barbarriccia

    -Rubicante

    old memories ; )

  • Thanks a lot for uploading the DS version also!

  • I love the Black Mages version of this.

  • Original Version

    Ds Version

    Gba Version?

    Black Mages Version

    Dissidia Version

So many awesometastic versions of this song....

Only a live orchestra version would be missing! :D

  • you forgot hyadain's remix

  • I'll check it out ;)

  • Lmfao

    That version is win.

    FFIV The Musical

  • Maybe it would get made if they didn't keep milking the FF7 cash cow. ;)

  • @animalityyy I'd pay to see Final Fantasy IV the Musical if they used songs from the game.

  • @MistressMareth

Me too. ^_^...and I usually HATE musicals. XD

  • wowowowowowowowwow

  • next cagnazzo

  • Tsunami, tsunami...

  • Jump w/ Kain, thunder with Rydia...

  • just use a zeus' wrath, its faster than thunder :P

  • Tsunami no Cagnazzo, kami wotoko!

  • I felt out of all 4 fiends this suited Rubicante the best. Mainly because he seemed like more of a storyline character then the other 3. IE you see him before you fight the mad doctor, then you see him hand edges ass back to him.

  • The DS version sounds just like the original, only much more polished and sounding like real instruments.

  • Yeah, that's why I like it. Unlike most other game remakes, this one actually sounds like the original.

  • i like the song

  • u are the man, ty. even though they are both awesome, i have to go with the original.

  • Hyadain's version make me squeal. >.>

Especially since this is my favorite FF4 battle song.

  • I like The Black Mages version, which is why its on my MP3 but this song is cool

  • Original version > DS version.

    ....Of the song.

  • That didn't sound like the DS version. I can tell, I own the DS version. =O

  • One of the best battle themes in the series, IMO.

I didn't care when I was losing against the four archfiends or Golbez, because there was this song playing. Amazing.

  • I know! I feel the exact same way lol.

  • Barbarica: "Lovin' Girls! Lovin' girls! I have no desries for men! NO! NO!"

Flame dude :" Would you like to see the inside of my mantle?"

  • wut xD

  • Watch Hydian's remix of this song.

A voice actress sings as Barbarica and she says taht she loves girls.

  • You've...never played Final Fantasy IV, have you? First, its spelled Barbariccia. And the fire elemental lord is named Rubicante. They are named after four of the Malebranche in Dante's Inferno. If you got a DS, you should pick up Final Fantasy IV, it's a great game.

  • yes its a great game!

    and rubicante is awesom lol!!!!

  • Voice actress? Hyadain does all the voices himself!! He just changes the pitch. ^^;

  • wow i didn't know that LOL

  • Yeah. :D He does a pretty good job, ehh~?

  • @ViolinSnowKid LMAO sexual innuendos ftw :P

  • I think the original version is much better than the DS one. Of course the Black Mages' version rocks more than either, but that's to be expected...

  • this music is so COOOL ^_^

  • This is great. I wasn wondering, are you planning on doing any more from IV. If so, I would request the regular boss theme.

  • You can find the regular boss theme in my other video, FF4 DS themes.

  • thank u!!!

ive been looking all over for this boss theme

although i wish they "funked up" the ds version more its still good as it is though

  • Wow, the special moment of FFIV!

Is incredible the capacity that has Nobuo Uematsu, to make music as perfect!

    99999/5 stars!!!

  • sweet, this is going on my zune

  • thanks "four" uploading this i havent played the FFIV on the DS yet is it worth it, cause FFIII had weird graphics? good video/song 5 stars

  • FFIV on DS is very worth it, and better graphics wise than ff3 was.

  • This is a very good theme!!! Thanks for uploading it!! :D

  • Haven't heard these. Thanks for sharing and making my subscription worthwhile =D.

  • Your very welcome!

  • this is the first offcail final fantasy song i ever heard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Battle With The Four Fiends Themes!!

    Man i LOVE it ^_^
