how could hillsong allow a secular wordly song in their worship set? We are not supposed to conform to the likes of the world and its sin its not even a christian song! putting a wordly song in the church is bringing sin into the church! this is an idiotic move by this congregation. unfortuanitly this is what is happening to the church today evil is mixing in with light darkness i cant believe this

Well, this isn't their usual Hillsong United concerts it's the Hillsong Conference they have every year at their church in sydney around july or something.
Is this an annual event? WOW ! Where is it? How can I go? God Bless. They sang Amazing Grace at my great grandmother's funeral. I still remember hearing this song in church when I was a little kid.
great-& that's just the type of response i'd expect from someone that is involved with hillsong ministries-the only problem i have with that statement is that y'all want people who don't know Christ to experience "church" & not HIM
i also know someone who attended hillsong college!!! they said they wouldn't trade the experience for anything in the world (except their salvation of course...) many people don't know what a music ministry can do in people's lives... but it was huge in hers...

I'm not sure that's the right question to be asking. When did we start trying to "top" one another. Who cares? I love Hillsong's stuff as much as anyone but all their great music and lights and DVDs aren't any better or worse than a 10 person congregation singing an old hymn acapella. God is infinite. There are an infinite number of ways to worship Him. As long as it is honest, they are all equally pleasing to Him.
W.O.W. I would definitely say no. I haven't seen ANY organisation top an intro like that. The seamless fusion of rock and orchestra, with powerful visuals - I wish i was there. Inspirational.

honestly, i don't like the arrangement of Amazing Grace...i prefer the one from Passion '07...part of the beauty of that piece is the subtlety...this is too grandiose

i also know someone who attended hillsong college!!! they said they wouldn't trade the experience for anything in the world (except their salvation of course...) many people don't know what a music ministry can do in people's lives... but it was huge in hers...

I'm not sure that's the right question to be asking. When did we start trying to "top" one another. Who cares? I love Hillsong's stuff as much as anyone but all their great music and lights and DVDs aren't any better or worse than a 10 person congregation singing an old hymn acapella. God is infinite. There are an infinite number of ways to worship Him. As long as it is honest, they are all equally pleasing to Him.

W.O.W. I would definitely say no. I haven't seen ANY organisation top an intro like that. The seamless fusion of rock and orchestra, with powerful visuals - I wish i was there. Inspirational.

@soulofthebeloved Sorry for the LONG delay I don't check this very often. And yes, people ask that all the time. I just found it on another site called dailymotion and was one of the first ones to put it on youtube because i had to cut a little out since the original video is actually over 10 minutes (too long to fit on youtube). Also, if you ever find it on DVD I would love to have it to show to my church at a higher quality etc. thanks =)
