When you have rabbits free in a yard it is nearly impossible to "tame" them unless they are already tame. It is best to have them caged and then let them out in a run for exercise.
Then taming is much easier. I entice them with food (I use tortilla chips, banana chip or other treats in small quantity) while they are in the cage and slowly get closer as they eat them. , eventually I hold the treat as they eat. I also only feed at night so they will be enthused about seeing me. Then I pet them while they eat.
It is unsafe to have rabbits hang out in the yard. At least overnight they should be caged so wild animals do not eat them or scare them to death. If you do not want to have them caged in a run, at least you can set up a cage and put their food in there every night to entice them to come in.
