  • I just discovered this. First, I want to say that "yes" I also love cookies, haha. And a bit of nerdy info for you, since you say that you always taste things while they're hot. The tissues in the mouth regenerate much much faster than any other tissue, so it'll be fine by the next day. I'm glad that you make a point of telling people to use what they have. That is how a recipe is created in the first place, and how traditions are created. Thanks, I love the recipe!

  • My mom used to make this for me a lot! It's really delicious. (:

    My favourite dish!

  • @MagicalLionTamer I love this too =D...though, when eaten in public, I get a lot of nose wrinkles bc I guess it smells too fishy---lol...but I say !!!....*shrug* whatev!! =D

  • i like spicy this looks gooodi like spicy this looks goood

  • i like spicy this looks goood

  • Thank you Angie. To you also!

  • That soup is so delicious and nourishing Angie.( I would have to have it a little not so spicy lol )Easy to make. thanks for sharing and have a lovely week!

  • @LESTER7L1 I hope YOU have a fantastic week!!!!!!!! =D

  • Hey korean, come check out my channel (another korean) , if you like my vids subscribe so we can go eat some korean food sometime XD

  • that looks so good!!! it's so cold here in uk! hmm...should really try that recipe =)

  • @NorwayToNewYork I bet! One of the things on my "list" are to go to the UK. Maybe I'll see you there!!! =D

  • @TheSquishyMonster yeah u should! can be really cold during winter but summer is awesome here! ;-)

  • @VitalClanMain YUM!!

  • I love spicy too. That does very nice.

  • Do you have a video cooking with dumplings (the dense cylindrical ones) that are found in the frozen section of the asian markets? I love them and tried to recreate a yummy hotpot soup I had once but it turned into a pot of glue :( any suggestions?

  • @beautynscience2010 Hey lady! I can't remember if I answered your question or not (YT is sooo crazy, the other day, it ate my bio and my comments) and now it's just not sending me msgs at all :( Anyhow, there's a bit more cornstarch in store bought dumplings than I'd ever use in my own so if they bust while cooking (which happens whether you buy your own or make 'em) that will instantly thicken the soup. You can add more stock in an effort to thin it out, or make your own.

  • Mmm cookies!

    fantastic! soup sounds good

    hot stuff

  • @AllenGraph Do you think Cookie Soup would be good? LOL

  • @TheSquishyMonster I don't see why not =))

  • It looks yummy but I would make it without shrimp because I'm vegetarian. Not sure if I would need to substitute something else for it, the bean paste has a strong flavour, doesn't it?

  • @carlyonv You can def. use Veggie Stock instead of making a Seafood Stock. The Bean Paste is fermented so it's a bit strong. You can use a lite white Miso instead if you'd like. You can even impart more body in this soup if you pile on more Veggies ;) Mushrooms would be yummy in this, as well as Silken Tofu, maybe even Broccoli!

  • It will definitely warm my heart! Thank you:3

  • @zidanefang I hope your week is going well Fang!!!

  • soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good i just made it!!!!!!

  • @BeastModeTongan704 I'm so glad!! I hope you can send me some pictures!!!!!!

  • soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good i just made it!!!!!!

  • Yummmmy... & as soon as you started talking about snacks... I was like, gotta go buy my some shrimp chips...yummmmm

  • @chefHolly33 those things are stupidly addictive!!! =D

  • Could do with a bowl of that - it's turned cold here.

  • @dubguy123 here too! :(

  • 냠 냠 냠! Angie! I LOVE tofu! Is there much of a difference between Miso and that Soybean paste you used Ang? I use lots of miso and I have a really good Korean market out here with lots of handmade stuff and they make tons of soybean paste! The soup looks delicious!

  • @MrEZCooking The Dark Brown Paste I'm using is deeply fermented and is much more bolder and intense in flavor. In my blog, I mention you can sub for Miso in a pinch, you'll still get the point across but I would def. use Daenjang. (It's also a bit stinky)!!! =D

  • @TheSquishyMonster I like intense! I don't mind stinky! I will buy some of the paste this payday! Thanks Angie!

  • This looks soo good it is making me hungry :)

  • @biarnylr Thank You!!! I'm so glad YT is back up!!!

  • Looks great Angie. I love spicy. And you're not kidding when you said that pot keeps it steamy.

  • @EZGlutenFree I'm so glad you like Spicy too!!!!

  • Cool. I like it ^_^

  • @7ooor1 why, thank you =D

  • Wow that looks great!

  • @SimpleCookingChannel Thank you very much Jason. That means A LOT coming from you sir!!! =D

  • Wow!! Angie, that looks so good. I'd love to have that in place of chicken soup any day. You have the greatest recipies. Thanks

  • @deview123 You gave me inspiration to put shredded Chicken in this next time!! THANKS!!!

  • @TheSquishyMonster My pleasure Angie. I feel honored that I inspired such a great chef

  • That looks hard to say but I have no problem eating it =)

  • @The79Machine You make me =D

  • @TheSquishyMonster oh i misread that haha i thought you said "make me" i was like "why would i make you eat your food?" lol yes i love to eat...you should open up a restaurant in st.louis i would live there!

  • @The79Machine I would go anywhere if someone gave me a restaurant!!! AAAAH!!

  • @TheSquishyMonster its hard to find authentic Korean where I live. We're just overwhelmed with americanized Chinese buffets and a few Japanese steakhouses so that's the only avenue I have to asian food which I love but I hear the Chinese/Japanese food we eat isn't authentic. Also, I don't even think we have any Korean based restaurants here =/

  • @The79Machine That's the saddest thing I've heard today :( The silver lining here is that you can make your own which 1). will save money and leave leftovers for extra meals for the price you'd pay for once eating out 2). quality control and you'll know you washed your hands, produce, etc and you can get the nicest cut of meat or freshest seafood 3). if you make my squid dish (if that's your thing) you can literally eat that with a bowl of rice for a month (did it a lot in school)

  • @TheSquishyMonster well there's this amazing amazing amazing and amazing oriental buffet less than an hour from my house and the place is so huge i cannot explain it, i am serious if you lined up the entire buffet it would be the size of maybe half a football field...they have almost everything its impossible to try everything there...its just too much...mmm I'm hungry now i got to stop visiting these food channels =/
