  • The Disney games released in Europe for SMS, are stunning 8 bit games.

  • Yeah I remember the birds disapearing (even Aladdin intill I reset the game) wondering what the fuck the poo on the floor was and the shitty colors. But I remember the game being better. Unfurtely my NES broke and my mom throw out my games away. The only thing being wrong with was the flashing lights.

  • The Master System version was way better :)

  • do,nt tell me that this is everything the nes can do,the graphics looks so ripped off and monochromo,it does,nt look better then the gameboy version on supergameboy, the hit detection and physics are so bad,and you have to use apples as weapons, there,s even no death tune telling you when you died.

i can,t believee this shit costed backthe $100 dollars just for commercial reasons.

even the gamegear version had better graphics with way more colors and was a handheld version.

    shame on it disney!!!

  • What emulator did you use to play this? Because I've looked everywhere I could for a working ROM of this title and each one I try out completely crashes before the gameplay can even begin!!

  • @8DXD8 Hi. I didn't use an emulator. Just hooked up the NES to a videocard i installed in my computer. :)

  • @8DXD8 I have a solution to your problem, don't use emulators.

  • Think this is bad? Try the pirated versions, such as "Aladdin II" and the port of the SNES game.

  • This is freaking horrible man, I've played and still own the megadrive and snes version which are slightly different games from different developers but they both have one thing in common, they're not terrible.

I never fought a nes version existed.

  • Yeah the graphics are fucking horrible. There are only 4 colors used. The only decent aspect of this game is the music, but after about 3 minutes I want to mute the TV or whatever the hell you're playing this on.

  • I really really REALLY want an acutal cartridge of this game.

  • @mistertitanic Yeah? It's too bad I've since sold the game. :P

  • @Gasoline85 Oh well :/ It's a shame it's so rare to find on ebay as well.

  • Poor man's Genesis Aladdin made for the NES. Pathetic attempt of a game!

  • I have the PAL B version of this on the NES, so therefore it won't play on my American top loading NES. I never knew there was PAL A version until recently. I would have never bought the PAL B version if I had known.

  • God this game looks like a very very crappy version of the megadrive version

  • i grew up on sega genesis and its a lot better than this version

  • i grew on sega genesis and its a lot better than this version

  • Those NES games by Virgin were more like a 'switch to SEGA' ad :D

  • What the fuck! This is an 8-bit version of Aladdin to Sega Mega Drive! Can you show me a good clear video on the actual cartridge of the game? If you have downloaded this from the Internet then I am sorry but you have been tricked!

  • Not downloaded. It's a genuine cartridge.

  • I've just uploaded a new video, showing the cartridge.

  • @Gasoline85 Hey man subscribed but this game is not so DAMN hard with FCU Pro Action Replay codes =P

  • @80KungFu what the point of having the original cartrige insteed of having the rom and play with an emulator?

  • @80KungFu Aladdin was actually released for the NES, as was Lion King. These two happen to be some of the rarest games for the NES as they were released the last year of the NES. Not to many bought these games as SNES and Genesis reigned supreme.

  • wtf!!!!!!!???? this is the 8-bit version of megadrive's aladin ...juast check it out look at the megadrive's (genesis) aladin

  • You mean the Sega Master system? The megadrive I beleive was the UK version of the Genesis 16-bit system.

  • This game was only released in europe?? I thought it was tha last Nes america release!!1

  • I didnt know this game was only released in europe

here in france you can buy the cartridge for like 3-5 euros ( less than 6 US dollars)in any good retrogaming store

does it cost a lot in North America?

  • This is exactly the Sega genesis version scaled down to 8 bit. EXACTLY THE SAME!!!

  • @mistertitanic

Yeah, and the genesis version is exatly the same like the snes.

  • graphics & sounds looks like piece of shit,it looks more like a atari 2600 game.

  • Well stop copy angry video game nerd !! You can be pissed off at the game but dont use his punchlines !!

  • Oh, boohoo. What punchlines did I copy exactly?

  • well you calling ur self "gaming nerd", and u talk in the same way he does.. "im afraid that would make too much sense"... when u try to make a gamereview these days its better to make one about a good game cause everyone else copys AVGN without knowing it... They watch his movies and think "hmm looks like fun, im goin to make one of thoose myself".. They get TOO much influence...

  • Ok, I'll admit the name is heavily inspired by The Nerd. In my defense, this was made over 2 years ago when the entire "scene" of angry reviewers wasn't as cluttered as it is today. (Or rather was, seeing as some of the old guys from back then don't "excist" anymore).

It's a valid point you bring up.

  • dude get off his back. All nerds are similar,AVGN isn't the original nerd....

  • Oh get of your high horse, and stop taking everything so fucking seriously!

  • Just pisses me off that you cant come up with a idea urself... Stop copy other people !

  • Yeah yeah, James was the first person ever to review bad games. Get real and fuck off!

  • Is this game pirated?

  • I'm not too sure... Could be?

  • I see. :) Were you playing this on NES or an emulator. Have you seen the actual cartridge to this game?

  • On NES, and I do have the cartridge. But like I mentioned in the review, the colors look so weird it could be a pirated version.

  • no its not pirated.

    Virgin released it in 1995.

same time as they released The Lion King

the the NES. it was the last NES games ever released that is not pirated.

  • This game was pirated in every region except europe.

  • I see.

  • I think the last game for the NES was Sunday Funday.

  • last one in the US, yes.

but the problem is that Sunday Funday was

released by Wisdom Tree, so the game wasnt

licensed. Therefor, Alladin and The Lion King was the last games released :)

  • So there were more games released after sunday funday? And alladin and lion king were released in 1994 right?

  • yes there is maby some games released after sunday funday, but those wasnt licensed.

the last licensed games released for NES was as I said Alladin and The Lion King in 1995

  • lion king and aladdin were released in 1995 after sunday funday

  • ...and their pirate counterparts were MUCH better than the licensed ones, I must say. With the exception of Aladdin II.

  • yes indeed.

  • If i remember correctly, that game was bit different... MAybe I don't remember correctly

  • This game is really bad. Only the music is good. Lion King for NES is also pretty bad, that game ends after the Hakuna Matata level.

  • I never knew this version existed, it sucks!

The megadrive version was better, at least it used varying colours and the collision detection was decent but not brilliant.

  • You didn't mention the Unlicensed NES version, which was a rare port of the SNES version.

  • I had no knowledge of that at the time.

  • this a urapoen version it doesnt work on the nes 1 but it works on the top loader (NES) (clayeater)

  • You know what? There's a pirate version of the Genesis version of this on the NES. The Genesis version is similar to this, and the PIRATES did better. Wow.

  • Aladdin was a good game but the NES version sucked hardcore

  • This game is so gay! Aladdin looks like he's floating to an extent, and it does resemble the sega version to an extent.

    Nice review, though.

  • thanks for your opinion, to an extent

  • The master system gives this version an ass plumbing!!

  • Parrots are fucking hardcore, man.

    Don't mess with them.

  • There Was A Verson Of The Aladdin Game For The NES?!?! WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?

  • Yes this is actually worth alot!

for 100 dollars you can get it..

The fact is that this and Lion king was the last NES games on the system in europe.. thats why they are so expensive and infamous.

  • Hmm. I have Lion King for NES aswell.

  • Seriously, I have this video faved for months, and while there are so many views, only 5 people faved this?

This is crzy 3!@2dDFsd0%^#o funny, this deserves way better

  • Thank you very much. I've been thinking about making some more reviews, and I'd even begun working on a SMB2 review. But then Irate Gamer came out with his, and I kinda lost interest.

Maybe I should complete what I've written/recorded and upload it as a "Lost Review/Porject". ^_^

  • You'd better review something else >:O I've been coming back checking your account at least once every week since I faved this and nothing new has come.

    I = doing the waitingz

  • Hmm. I just realized that next month, is the Aladdin-reviews' 1st anniversary.

I think I'll mark that day, by doing another review. (The SMB2 "remains" I was talking about, will be uploaded seperately).

No promises it'll be as funny, though. ^_^

  • Nice, I'll be waiting, if it comes

  • Nice one, sir. I've just reviewed that game myself for a French emulation website and I must say that I agree with you. It's almost unplayable and the colours and music almost put me to sleep. I didn't put nearly as much humour in my test as you did with this video though. I'll be coming back for more. ^^ Cheers !

  • Wow. Thank you. :-)

Could you PM me with a link? I'd love to check your review out.

  • nice one ,what did u used to record?

  • A cheap video-card called "MyCinema-P7131" wich I inserted into my comuter.

(I'm not sure if you can pick it up at any computer-hardware/software store).

It's very easy to install. (Although sometimes you have to rely a slight bit on brute force). XD

The tricky part is to adjust the signal correctly.

  • thx ,try Hypercam,its easier

  • Very funny! Like it

  • lol the 4:58 part is the best :))

  • Glad you liked it. ^_^

  • One of my favourite parts aswell, btw.

  • HAHAHA. I never knew there was a NES version of Aladdin.

"Hey, here's an idea! Why not have PURPLE TEXT on a BLACK BACKGROUND! It'll be KICKASS!"

    I laughed so hard.

  • Thank you. The joke of course being, that it makes the text nearly impossible to read. That and the fact that the cards change so fast, you barely have time to make any sense out of it.

(It's like the game is embarassed by itself, and just wants to get it over with). ^_^

  • I know. Some old video games do some of the most retarded things, and you just wonder "What the Hell were they thinking?"

  • Well, actually there's also an unlicensed NES conversion of a SNES Aladdin game which actually plays pretty good.

  • thw graphics, sound and gameplay of this version including the gameboy version is so bad that it looks like it,s made by a pirate group what a shame!!!

  • ah, you made me laugh, nice review.

  • Thanks man. I appreciate it.

  • Aladdin looks like Vegetto...

  • This game is a rip-off from the genesis version, sega did better than this, but in later levels, it sucked.

  • Thats a good review. Keep it up!

  • Loved the Aladdin review dude, You've definetly got something there and I definetly look forward to seeing future reviews!

    Keep up the excellent work!

(PS I never played the NES version, Just the Genesis and SNES vers)

  • Thank you.

Currently I'm toying around with a "montage" about a female character from a danish kids/young adults-movie from the mid 90's.

(Basically I'm editing/re-editing all her scenes togther, and then I'm gonna add some music to it).

But rest asured, I will review more games. ;-)

  • Interesting, You'll probably get a lot of blank looks from the American trolls, but the best of luck with that Sir!

Have a looksee at my videos too if you ever have time, I like to dabble in the odd review myself ^_^

  • One game I won't play

  • I almost had a heart attack when I saw a review of Aladdin. I thought you were going to do the SNES one. I didn't know they had one for NES.

That's freaky how they take you to the title screen when you die. That has to be a first and only. Why the fuck would you want to remind people what game they're playing when they die? It's like they're begging for the player to hate the game. Fucking nuts!

  • Suggestion: If you found a bunch of ridiculous deaths and cut them together, you could do something really really good with it.

  • It is freaky. And confusing as hell.

In the top right corner there is a lamp with smoke coming out of it. At first I thought it was some sort of timer, since it seemed to be depleeting over time. Later I found out that it's the health-bar. (Yah, makes *really* f-ing sense). :-P

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll se what I can do.

The next game I'm reviewing is probably gonna be "Bart vs The Spacemutants".

  • Thanks

No one has yet to accuse me of copying AVGN or any of the other reviewers. I guess that's a good sign.

  • that's a pretty good review

  • Wow, the NES version really does look crappy. Have you played the SNES versions, that one was far superior.

  • Yah, I have toyed a little around with it. And yes, it does seem far better than this POS.

  • Thanks very much.

  • I personally liked M.C. kids.

  • Actually I don't think it's the absolute worst game ever, but it's certainly not the best either.
