Always funny when he makes fun of American cars for not being able to handle even though there are 3 American cars on the top ten list of lap times at the nurburgring. And the only british car is a bare bones hardly streel legal racing car that you couldn't even drive in the rain because it doesn't have any sort of roof.
The only problem I have with American Cars is that from outside they look modern, luxury and upto date, but inside/interior is completely 90's, boring and quite useless. That's why old classic american muscle cars are much better that the new ones. The European and Asian cars are are far better than many American cars today (cars, vans, suvs and trucks)

If I were to say anything positive about any of out vehicles I would say: Ford is making great progress in the states and GM makes the best utilitarian trucks. @zippbitch Jaguar have been quite commercially successful over the years, yet until their ownership by Ford in the late 90s had a horrendous reputation for poor quality. They sold a lot of XJ6s and XJ40s but they aren't known for their durability. You need to do your research mate!

Basically they are in a niche market, if you look at it that way they are way more successful, Austin Martin, Bentley, Caterham, Connaught Motor Company, Ginetta, Invicta, Jaguar, Land Rover, McLaren, Morgan Motor Company the list goes on... and they all have one thing in common, they target the hyper-luxury and super car market, a market america has never succeeded in.

I think this was the better looking CTS. The new one doesn't age well (Imagine this in black) except for the CTS-V though.
Can't say the same for the interior. It was shit but thankfully, the new one is the complete opposite and downright gorgeous.
I think American cars at this time were shit (though good looking) but I'm quite impressed with the changes and improvements that have happened in the last 6 or so years.

I have an 04 CTS with the 3.6L. I got it as a replacement to my Accord, and for being close in price, is a 10 times better car... handling, power, and interior. I love this car

It is rather a shame that the Germans, Bavarians, and Japanese rule our market, but we do have a few saving graces. The Corvette (Z-06) is good enough to beat a Nissan GTR, the ZR-1 will embarras a Ferrari, the new Cadillac V-Series cars are FABULOUS, and the new Jeep Grand Cherokee will do everything a Land Rover will do and look just as good or even better doing it. All is not lost in America, it's just waiting to be found. :)

And the new trend of American cars is truly saddening. Made in America used to stand for something. (I'm not just talking cars). The only things they put any effort into anymore are high tech/cost military projects.
Truth be told (and I have had 2 prior BMW's) I'd take an Infiniti over this (but i do like the new V) or any Euro luxury (which I suppose is code name for barren, leather-clad interior) car. This is mostly due to the fact that I like a car to last more than two years and then need extensive work further draining my wallet, which is overkill because it was overpriced to begin with. Toyota: Drive it everyday. BMW (etc): Twist, and pray. All that aside, they're just cars guys.

Was wondering that myself. NEVER used mine on my CTS in 7 years (yes, it's still running with minimal maintenance after 7 years). Though the plastic dashboard is a shame really. It cracks under severe heat temps unfortunately.

Yes he does but he calls it a British car because he claims that it was designed in Britain and the rack and pinion is from a Aston Martin... Of course Ford owned Aston at the time so they were free to use whatever parts they wanted to use from Aston. He loves Fords as long as they are European Fords.
The GT is very American but he couldn't deny how great it is.
Jeremy is a funny guy and I love the show but he'll always hate the USA for some reason.

I think this was the better looking CTS. The new one doesn't age well (Imagine this in black) except for the CTS-V though.
Can't say the same for the interior. It was shit but thankfully, the new one is the complete opposite and downright gorgeous.
I think American cars at this time were shit (though good looking) but I'm quite impressed with the changes and improvements that have happened in the last 6 or so years.
New South Korean and American cars nowadays are desirable. I want a Kia.

I have an 04 CTS with the 3.6L. I got it as a replacement to my Accord, and for being close in price, is a 10 times better car... handling, power, and interior. I love this car

It is rather a shame that the Germans, Bavarians, and Japanese rule our market, but we do have a few saving graces. The Corvette (Z-06) is good enough to beat a Nissan GTR, the ZR-1 will embarras a Ferrari, the new Cadillac V-Series cars are FABULOUS, and the new Jeep Grand Cherokee will do everything a Land Rover will do and look just as good or even better doing it. All is not lost in America, it's just waiting to be found. :)

And the new trend of American cars is truly saddening. Made in America used to stand for something. (I'm not just talking cars). That stuff was made to last forever and the one who made it, was proud to put his name on it. Now some factory worker in China slaps a corporate logo sticker with on it, and the ones in charge have no problem putting out crap, 'cause they're gonna get they're money in any case. The only things they put any effort into anymore are high tech/cost military projects.

Truth be told (and I have had 2 prior BMW's) I'd take an Infiniti over this (but i do like the new V) or any Euro luxury (which I suppose is code name for barren, leather-clad interior) car. This is mostly due to the fact that I like a car to last more than two years and then need extensive work further draining my wallet, which is overkill because it was overpriced to begin with. Toyota: Drive it everyday. BMW (etc): Twist, and pray. All that aside, they're just cars guys.

As for the Cadilacs handling in 2004 I watched Terry Borchellor in a cts run down
David Murray in a porsche 911 like Murray was in a Morris Minor with a bad engine and missing a wheel! Virginia international raceway 3.27 Mile road course I believe T/G went there in series 16 or 17 Koni cup cars has to start as a production chassis . I believe that level of prep GT 3 or 4 Internationally

Was wondering that myself. NEVER used mine on my CTS in 7 years (yes, it's still running with minimal maintenance after 7 years). Though the plastic dashboard is a shame really. It cracks under severe heat temps unfortunately.
