@OvationKing We don't know. In Science we look at facts and try to draw conclusions out of them. Right now, one of the theories is "The law of conservation of matter." Which say that matter CANNOT be created or destroyed. So Bottom line: The universe is a constant. It was always here.

It has been proven that there was a beginning to the universe (hence the need to discover exchange particles such as the Higgs Boson) and more importantly, matter cannot be destroyed, but it can be transformed into energy, which is a big advocate of the big bang theory. Im a junior in college majoring in atomic physics, so I have researched extensively into this subject. The universe did have a beginning.

It's so awful that "Christians" would actually say stuff like "Love Jesus or go to Hell". I'm a Christian, and I'd never do anything like that. Also, evolution is a hypothesis, and has technically been proven false.

Almost all modern day science rests on the fact of what an atom appears to be. But nobody really knows what it looks like? Everyone takes information for granted. Evolution is a fact, sorry. Science just works. Science did everything you see. Do you know what logic is? What science is? They're names we give for things that make sense, things that work. They are demonstrable. Faith is not.

Logic has an interesting rule. If there's no evidence for it, there is no reason to believe it's true. Until it's backed up by evidence, the default position is negative. See how a positive hypothesis has a burden of proof?

@OvationKing I think most people that don't believe in a god realize science can answer most questions about human existence. None of the answers science has provided so far involve god or the supernatural. Kinda doubt science will start attributing things to invisible beings in the sky. We will just keep looking for the real answers.

This church was acting up actually, which is why the letter was written in the first place. The reason why it says the women can't teach and have to be silent is because the women of that church were gossipers. The author of the letter knew it wouldn't be good for gossipers to have word in Church because well, gossiping isn't reliable.

Jesus Christ died so that you don't have to get what you deserve. That is Truth. When you die, you will be accountable for your own thoughts and actions. At judgement, no other atheist will be able to stand next to you and tell God any funny jokes or show and clever posters to help you out. @OvationKing We don't know. In Science we look at facts and try to draw conclusions out of them. Right now, one of the theories is "The law of conservation of matter." Which say that matter CANNOT be created or destroyed. So Bottom line: The universe is a constant. It was always here.

It has been proven that there was a beginning to the universe (hence the need to discover exchange particles such as the Higgs Boson) and more importantly, matter cannot be destroyed, but it can be transformed into energy, which is a big advocate of the big bang theory. Im a junior in college majoring in atomic physics, so I have researched extensively into this subject. The universe did have a beginning.

Also, some of those posters aren't fair, especially the stuff near the end. You guys make fun of us because we say that anything is possible with the power of God, and God will protect us. I am friends with homosexuals, I hated the fact that 9/11 happened, I do not put my opinion as "God's word", I am against abortion, I am not Roman Catholic, and I really don't care about the Pope, and, if you actually do more study in it, you'll notice that it has more consistency than almost all other religions. Almost all modern day science rests on the fact of what an atom appears to be. But nobody really knows what it looks like? Everyone takes information for granted. Evolution is a fact, sorry. Science just works. Science did everything you see. Do you know what logic is? What science is? They're names we give for things that make sense, things that work. Logic has an interesting rule. If there's no evidence for it, there is no reason to believe it's true. Until it's backed up by evidence, the default position is negative. See how a positive hypothesis has a burden of proof?

@FightToWin21 The proof for the Big Bang lies in the Hubble Constant. In 1929, Edwin Hubble announced that his observations of galaxies outside our own Milky Way showed that they were systematically moving away from us with a speed that was proportional to their distance from us. The more distant the galaxy, the faster it was receding from us. This is indicative of an expanding universe. Every expansion has a starting point. Hence, the Big Bang. Any questions?

By using the Hubble Telescope to look billions of light years across the universe, astronomers have been able to photograph galaxies that still have giant hydrogen clouds clearing from the Big Bang. Although these clouds cleared billions of years ago, the light from these distant galaxies is only reaching us now because they are so distant. So in effect, astronomers have looked back into time and seen the Big Bang.

And by "poof" into existence, I was referring to the starting point of the universe - the "big bang" – how did it happen? Did two objects collide? Where did those objects come from? No one knows. “Poof!” It just happened. I’m afraid it’s you who’s ignorant - believing that people who have different opinions and beliefs are somehow dumber than you. So sad.
