I know a lot of people that understand even more about cars than me see this videos, and that's why I'm asking this question.

I'm buying a new car, and here in Portugal the Mini Cooper S full extras and the Scirocco 200 hp will be close in their price tag. I know they do the same 0-100km/h (0-62mph), but are they equally fun to drive? Can the Scirocco 200 hp match the Cooper S in a twisty road? I would appreciate if you could answer me as a "reply" so I know I've been answered. Thank you a lot!

Yeah, something about this video is definitely making the car look odd. Much more sleek looking in the other photos and videos I've seen. Probably a 16:9 video squashed into a 4:3 format.

Yeah...I remember seing Scirocco cars when I was in highschool. I wished I was older, had a job and got my hands on one...Sight! But this is just an ugly boxy car. The MZ3 hatchback looks sportier and the Toyota Matrix looks more classy.

The video is not formatted correctly. The photos I've seen in Autoweek show a lower, sleeker looking car not as tall and boxy as this video makes it seem.

The origin vid is another format, maybe 16:9. In this vid it is pressed into an 4:4 format!

Therefore, the Scirocco looks so ugly.

In the vid 2008 Volkswagen Scirocco @ 2008 Geneva Auto Show, you find by the related vids, you see clearly how good the car looks.

Honda is all I've been buying for the past 10 years, and both of them have never failed me. Both are Accords. One of them has 280,000 miles on the original, unrestored engine, and still reliably gets me around day in and day out. My other one is approaching 200,000 miles, original engine, unrestored, and I would trust it on a coast to coast trip without hesitation. These cars have never failed me. Guess what my next car will be... ;P

The Sirocco displays an alarming tendency to hug the right side of the carriageway. This would cause serious problems in meeting on-coming traffic. i completely agree ... i had an 02 jetta 1.8t ... and i was constantly having problems ... finally the tiptronic went out around 80k miles and i said the hell with it and got a civic ... and while the body is less rigid ... the power compared to the 1.8t is anemic ... i still feel better driving this car
