@kykinks Our video is still live and we have Alabama rig as a header. It might be more about intimidation then actual rights to the name. We produce quality videos that we produce ourselves and responding to a rig is not so much infringement as it is a right to our opinion. Putting the name in the header is our right, and well, ours is still live. Centtral coast bass.
@kykinks They only own the trademark names "The Alabama Rig" and "A-Rig". They don't own the name "Alabama Rig". Plus it only covers the name of a lure and the name on any apparel like shirts, hats, and so on.
where is a good spot to find wire to make these? i tried lowes and all i could find for the right diameter was drop ceiling and insulation hangers they were a bit thick.
@natewatersyeah If you watched my follow up to this video I gave a good source. Bed Bath and Beyond has a head massager that has the right wire for the job. Just buy one and have at it.
I do not mold this rig, I just do old school wire bending. I have in fact taken the idea a bit further, even more then my latest video ( modifying a home made A-rig ) When all is said I have some really good ideas that will take the A-rig concept further. Central coast bass
I've also messed around making my own alabama rigs and just thought I'd throw out an idea for you/anybody who reads this who wants to make a bigger rig, i.e. one to throw the larger swimbaits like Elias was throwing at guntersville.
starting out, it was a little difficult to find wire that was cheap, the right thickness... I started using the wire from those little flags they put in your yard after fertilizing. You can buy them in bulk for cheap. Might want to try it!
@bk88montess Had no idea that was the case, I made mine an uploaded it after making sure it was a sound concept. If posts on this subject are being removed that does not seem right. Making these rigs or any other rig is a free type of speech thing, you should be able to post with no concern of them being removed.
it's the name Alabama Rig that is causing other vids to be removed. Supposed to be trademark infringement.

Great video. No need to pay $40+ dollars on these rigs.
Do you know why all the other video posts were removed on making Alabama Rigs?
