I had a Morris 1800 once, bloody good car it was ,but it was also very heavy on petrol. I was getting around 22-25 mpg ! Would i get another one if i could? To right i would !!
@riotagus Great cars, you should get another, There is an excellent club, the LOCI club and very very good spares backup too, go on, you know you want to :) :)
@squarielman Hello again. Mine was the mark 1 version, olive green ( yak ! ) with red interior. I could drive all day at 60-65 mph with no problem...if you could stand the noise... lol.
The only criticism i had with that car was ,when ever it rained , the passenger side was like a small lake !
I never managed to fix the damm lick all the time i had the car ( two years ).
My Dad had a new one in 1967, Green mk1 and kept it for 16 years, beautiful. I learned to drive in it, it became part of the family but sadly time waits for no car and he bought a new Montego in 1983, absolutely bloody rubbish !!!!
Very nice!!my dad had one in about 1984, a wreck even then. it had a block of wood holding in the o/s headlight where the inner wing had rotted out. great to see such a pretty survivor as yours
@mrspivvy Cheers for your comment, The car is resprayed now, its original Midnight Blue ( blmc 12 ), new bumpers , trim etc... Will put a new vid on here ASAP... cheers..
Hi, A respray is the next job ( pro job ) The car is very very solid underneath and runs really nice, Just the usuall little easy jobs and the car will be "sorted" "" thanks for your comments and cheers... chris.
@reelsonwheels Hi Thanks, I hope to get the car looking really good for this summers season !! very solid underneath and excellent runner, we will get there, cheers... chris.
