I also had returned to Secular life but later rededicated my life back to Christ, as It is Christ that we should look up to NOT people! I Now have a very beautiful Fiancee in my life and She loves the Lord. Christianity is NOT a "trend", or "fad", but a way of life, and a lifetime commitment!!!! and "trend Christianity" in NOT even real or true Christianity at all; It is only a social thing!!!! a lie from Satan!
Proseeds (as well as the rest of the Seeds Ministry) would never stand the test of time; As in my earlier statement about McKenna (Lisa Hedley) Cole The BCLC Seeds ministry was NOTHING MORE then a "product courtesy of the so-called "Seasonal Christain Movement trend" and once it died out by 1995, more then 90% of Seeds group members had returned to the secular life, many became extreamly hateful, several had turned to Darwinism (like Jennifer Castro), and some became Athiests...Pretty SICK!!!!
It's not only that the church has gotten lazy, but the TRUE reality has come to the surface, as was the case with Bakersfield Christian Life Center's "Seeds Ministry" Including and especially the Proseeds Group. I became a member of Proseeds on August 10, 1988 and thought it was the greatest thing at that time as I met so many great friends (or so I thought!!!!!)...Little did I know or understand that the majority of the members were not true but "Seasonal Christians"
this song is a old favorite. i wish sometimes us christians were not so selfish! Because keith was right, both in his time and today, the church has gotten lazy.
One additional person this song is directed at is McKenna Lisa Cole (Lisa Hedley) who was one of those people who pretended to be a Christian as she and many others got caught up in the "seasonal Chistian movement trend" of the mid 1980s thru early 1990s. literally dissapearing after the fall of Bakersfield Christian Life Centers "Seeds Ministry", Lisa Hedley (Cole) was finally after nearly 20 years by a long lost friend but she had became a very hateful little JERK ! another very sad story!!!
Oh and let's not forget Erin Dixon-Hollingsworth, who Ruined it for Sonseeds at Bakersfield Christian Life Center, in 1994, and "Flushed" the group completely down the toilet! I have also discovered that the Philippinas in Cebu City, Philippines are MUCH BETTER CHRISTIANS then nearly everyone i know in California It just amazes me and at the same time makes me sick, just to see how about 95% of all Christians in Bakersfield, CA are selfish hateful and rude!
This song is for people like Jennifer Jaquette-Raasch, Sam Chow, and Shawana Oberdickt, and MANY OTHERS who think that they are so holy, and can't seem to help or show Christian love for anyone UNLESS it is one of thair "favorite people" that is being helped or there is something in it for THEM These 3 people are such hypocrits, who run around bragging that they are so "holy" but you ask anyone of then for help or a simple favor, THE ANSWER WILL BE "NO"...EVEN if you life depends on it!!!
Now long around at the world, look at your Country, Look at your community, look at the people, look at yourself! Dont Give up! Apply your Teaching to the World, not in verses, but in Action! Only then will GOOD and GOD Prevail! - BTW, in not a Religious man, but... this is video is TRUE!

Keith is right. We are so concerned with our prosperity we have forgotten those in need. In need of salvation, in need of food, in need of clothing, in need of love.
Now more than ever, we need a message like this! I'm sorry, but the purpose of this life is NOT nor was it EVER for all this insidious mind-numbing "self-fulfillment" garbage I see destroying our churches today.
His message is just as important if not even moreso in these days of hearts growing cold across the planet....wow....Bless him and the power of his song for awakening us today!!!
This is like a spanking via music!!! I'm speechless and utterly impressed at the same time. It's my first time hearing this one by Mr. Green. Amen to it all. This man was real deal! This is a charge to BE ABOUT IT!!! I absolutely love it!!!
Dude, these were heavy lyrics that you usually didn't hear around the time this song came out! The lyrics in this song give me tears... because it's so sad, but so true. What good is a congregation of thousands of people that are well off, when there is a struggling single mother that can't feed her kids in the same city? The church just looks away... and it tears me apart. We listen to this song itself and fall victim to what it complains.
My college professor reminds me of this daily: Never judge a group by the lunatic fringe. The angry soap-box preachers, Jehovah's witnesses who shove the Scriptures down throats, and the hypocritical non-Christian-like church attendees should not be turned to as models for Christianity. I've found reminding them of Jesus' attitude is who we should be matching and it tends to open their blind eyes.
Funny about sending people to the door we had this jehover witness kept coming round banging on my girlfriends door she heard her say to her friend if she dosent open the door she will kick it in funny she works for god.
my mum sent this as a message to get me off my lazy ass , and i couldnt help but lagh at the bit where it says you cant even get out of bed lol lol lol so true ,great song thanks mum
This says it all right here, the church really is full of hypocrites and something needs to change fast. It is so wrong that we as Christians, most Christians, don't care at all. If you really love Jesus then wouldn't you want to go tell people about Jesus and what all he has done? Wouldn't you go to the ends of the Earth to places like Yemen and proclaim the mighty acts of the one who called us out of darkness and into HIS marvelous light?
whether we can 'touch' and 'see' Him or not, is LOVE, and that is hardest for me too...but please remember, perhaps, that even if you can't 'touch' God - you CAN "Feel" Him...and so I say to you, keep asking, keep searching, keep letting yourself look for He who has and is ever so patiently waiting on you...I'm sorry this was so long but I just felt you were being treatedunfairly and needed to know someone, some 'Christian' out here WAS NOT and IS NOT against nor judging you...or your heart!
Christian does sometimes...and so what I would like to say to you in ending is this - First, I am sorry that you have been scorned and hurt by yet more "Christians" judging you and your heartfelt questions...I am glad for you that you came to this video, for 'whatever' reason, watching a movie, or just maybe, even though beaten down by 'religion', just maybe your heart is still searching for whatever God has to give your life...I know the biggest part of it,
different...in the begining, I needed a 'safe' place and there was this Pastor talking about how Jesus could be our 'Hiding Place' and my heart, so weary and battle scared, broke and somehow all my hurt and pain ran towards that 'safe place' - I still had pain, and nothing was 'just healed' but I somehow wasn't so alone...enough of all that...I still have more dark days than good ones, and I still have a really hard time with Jesus not being here in a way I can touch and be touched, every
say you were raised as a Christian, and so you have every right to say and feel that you have not 'found' God - how could you - it was your parents religion, not yours...only YOU can be found by God because your heart is ready to accept whatever part of This Father your soul is longing for...I am a Christian, some days I don't know how or why it happened, nor how I stay, with all the questions I ask of God EVERY day... but yet my heart somehow remains connected to Him...for each of us it is
I was horribly tortured and abused as a child, then sadistically raped for three months at 14 and even cruelly suffered at the hands of the very church I had come to know as 'family' at 47...each time I cried out to God, "Where are You?!!"...I just couldn't understand, and sometimes, maybe most times, still don't know why it seems He 'left me' to suffer on my own... and from what I read of your comments, I think you may have some of the same questions of situations in your own life...you also
have too...Faith is not being "Blind" - so if they really want to be honest they would admit they DO "see" the world in which we all live and most of it pretty bad...but I suppose it's Faith that gives Hope, and that is what most Christians rely on...I am NOT going to spout to you about those things because I have a hard time some days with them myself...
I just came across this video...but it was more the conversation here that struck me...fl100ders, I did read all your comments, and first let me say that I am NOT entering into a 'fight' with you, NOR am I going to try to 'sway' or 'convince' you in any way...that said, I DO want to say to you that I REALLY do understand the place in which you find yourself now...I have asked the same questions you have stated, and I believe that ANY TRUE Christian would admit, at some point in their lives they
I pray the church would start meeting people's needs instead of "punishing" them and telling them to pray for something that will never come unless the church actually REACHES OUT. God forbid if anything is an inconvenience to the church!
It has to start with each of us doesn't it. It's easy to say the institution is not doing something, it is a lot harder for each of us to change the way we live, but if we start living transformed lives then change will happen.
If you really want to feel what God's love is, feel the love you have for other people and the love they have for you. God calls himself a Father, a friend, a brother, a son. Picture all of those types of love, and that is what God feels for you. I KNOW you've experienced that type of thing.
I have indeed, but I recognise that for what it is: simply, the love of a father, friend, brother or son. They are REAL, I can SEE them, I can TALK to them, we can COMFORT and GUIDE one way or the other.
In those relationships, there's a very real and appreciable exchange taking place. It is helpful, it is useful, it makes a difference.
Even if it IS there, what use is God's love when one cannot feel it?
Indeed, there is a difference. I have experienced both, and they should not be confused. On the other hand, they are related in that Christians should let God's love shine through them.
I can't wait to see how you so called Christians mod my comments down because they conflict with your views. Gee, does the fact some people get left out in the cold BOTHER YOU? You should be bothered, but not for the reasons you think...
Does it make any sense that God would audibly say "Yes, I'm real" to anybody that asks Him? If He would, would it even be a choice that any of us have to make?
Dude, God loves you so much and it breaks both of our hearts that you can't see it. I'm sorry for the Christians that have told you that so many times that it's now a cheap message. I am going to pray hard for you that God will make himself real to you.
I'm not expecting him to materialise for tea and scones, but I have pleaded for his help an guidance MANY TIMES and felt nothing but the inky blackness of my mind at pause. Pray all you want - I have waited for years and years and felt nothing whatsoever. What is this love you speak of so highly, that 'God' gives so freely? I reach for it with an open heart and feel nothing at all.
Keith Green is so loving to the Lord it just touches my heart. He loved God so much it makes me want to get so much closer to God so I can be like him.
Oh you've seen him? Really... how lucky for you. Did you have tea and scones?
Seriously, for an omnipotent being he's pretty inconsistent. For ever 'miracle' you might cite, I could point to at least 5 senseless disasters where he was conspicuously absent... What do you suppose that means?
i suppose it means you're a scoffer and a mocker of God. Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. you ever thought of blaming the devil? in the beginning there were no disasters, until the fall of man in the garden. then all bets were off.
Mocking? no. Scoffing? hardly - all I am asking is where is he? God is conspicuous by his absence and its not for lack of wanting to connect. The conclusions *I* draw from some 20 years of this non-communication is clearly different from yours.
You would blame the devil 'I suppose', and yet in practice, I find this supposed entity equally non-existent. It makes no more sense to blame the Devil for things than God. If good or evil is ever done, it is by Man.
I am a former Christian who's just wondering why for all my efforts to 'find god' found nothing. This would have been apparent if you'd read all my posts - why not do it now and mod them down like your so called 'christian' friends...
You'd be surprised just how many Christians 'haven't found god' but delude themselves into thinking they have. What was a believing? What everyone was telling me. Then I starting thinking for myself.
What did I expect to find? I don't know, but something more meaningful than a book though.
And what makes you think you have not deluded yourself?
Wee bit judgemental of you, seems to me, to presume that your truth is the only truth, and to insult anyone who disagrees with you.
Stranger still that you would troll youtube, going out of your way to a video of a religion that you disagree with, simply to dis it and its followers.
You're taking this way too personally - my truth IS the only truth for me. I genuinely reached for God and found nothing - ergo for all intents and purposes he does not exist. Yet he exists for other people? How does that make any sense? I'm not trolling or dissing followers - you'd know if I was, but if you feel more comfortable labeling me that way, that's ok.
I suppose it's like going to see a show of some kind, like a movie. It's a point of fascination for me how utterly swayed some people are by the special effects.
And how exactly do you know what there was 'in the beginning' if there was no-one around to document it? Are you actually suggesting all natural disasters are some form of ad-hoc retribution he brings down on whole communities for... what purpose? How frequently is it the poor who suffer such things hmm? He designed the earth, did he not?
you read the Bible?if so, you've read the story of the Garden of Eden. Did God make the earth good or bad? if God made it good, then who was responsible for making it bad? mankind made the decisions that cause the world to be in the position it's in. do you believe in abe lincoln, aristotle, columbus? you didnt see them yet you believe in their existences. you didnt see the pyramids in egypts being built but the pyramid is proof of a builder. creation is proof of a Creator, tho u cant c Him
Awesome. Keith Green is my favorite. His music is so powerful, so passionate..if you ever feel cold in your walk just listen to some Keith Green music!
it's interesting to note that all his songs pertain to those in the faith more than unbelievers. moreover they show the importance of conduct and not just belief on our part.
Keith Green didn't just sing it, he lived it. From all accounts, he was one of the finest examples of what the Christ-life is all about. His music is timeless.
I also had returned to Secular life but later rededicated my life back to Christ, as It is Christ that we should look up to NOT people! You would blame the devil 'I suppose', and yet in practice, I find this supposed entity equally non-existent. It makes no more sense to blame the Devil for things than God. If good or evil is ever done, it is by Man.

curious that you, who say that you don't believe, would take time to find a Christian video on youtube. Waz up with dat?

I am a former Christian who's just wondering why for all my efforts to 'find god' found nothing. This would have been apparent if you'd read all my posts - why not do it now and mod them down like your so called 'christian' friends...

How could you have been a Christian if you never found God?
In what--or in whom--were you believing?
On what--or on whom--did you base your decision to convert to Christianity?
And what were you expecting to find? How will you know if you found it?
TheAnneelise 2 years ago
I was raised one, I didn't become one.

You won't find peace that way, love.

You're taking this way too personally - my truth IS the only truth for me. I genuinely reached for God and found nothing - ergo for all intents and purposes he does not exist. Yet he exists for other people? How does that make any sense? I'm not trolling or dissing followers - you'd know if I was, but if you feel more comfortable labeling me that way, that's ok.

right. So we come full circle: you're not a believer but you visit Christian videos. Curious...

He designed the earth, did he not?
fl00ders 2 years ago
you read the Bible?if so, you've read the story of the Garden of Eden.

@eatlotsofmeat I think keith Green would disagree with you, his music doesn't set lukewarm hearts on fire it only points to the ONE that does.

Yeah me too! Keith Green was, and I guess in many ways still is, so powerful!

it's interesting to note that all his songs pertain to those in the faith more than unbelievers. moreover they show the importance of conduct and not just belief on our part.

This is my kind of music. Peaceful and truthful.

Keith Green didn't just sing it, he lived it. From all accounts, he was one of the finest examples of what the Christ-life is all about. His music is timeless.
