I have had the privaledge to shake this great womans hand I have seen many things in Burma when i worked ther for 4 years they are a proud mannered people with a strong sence of freedom just Like SCOTLAND THERE TIME WILL COME i only hope its in my life time.There are many things on here that are not reported on trust me things in Burma are worse than anything you have read here JOIN THE FIGHT FOR FREEDOM

If we happen to choose this planet to find comfort in peace then we have chosen a wrong planet. If we happen to have some kind of peace then it is not a permanent one... we are in the planet of conflict and chaos... God is here, but not to help. God is here to score our test card... We are too nice to fight evil. We seem to chicken out when confronting with evil. We are not wise enough to understand morality vs immorality... So we let evil act first then we slowly pick up the left over to learn.

kyaungmyatko, please don't say racist things like the soldiers who shot the monks were Wa. The Burma Army has no Wa units or Wa soldiers. Burman soldiers did this. They probably did it because they would have been tortured if they refused. You embarrass and degrade the democracy movement when you start blaming hill tribe and ethnic people for the country's problems. Ethnic Burman soldiers did this. Face the facts. If you tell racist lies you are no better than the SPDC.

i can't help but cried when i watch this clip. i can feel the unity from holding hands. i can feel the sorrow from the tears. & i can feel the pain from the blood. i'm really shame of myself for being unable to doing anything for the land i adore & for the people i luv. i wonder why those soldiers r so inhuman... how much they would get for killing monks & civilians? 10,000? 20,000? there r still some good people in military. it's time for them to b brave enough for the sake of our country.

I am in no way condoning what the military has done. They cower behind guns, unlike Daw Aung San Suu Kyi who stands up with them pointed at her.

When Phillipino army refused to shoot the Catholic Monks and Nuns....how come Myanmar/Burmese soldiers have no problem in shooting their own unarmed Buddhist monks and nuns ? Are Burmese soldiers brainwashed cowards or less faithful to their religion?

I think Burmese Junta's army consist more of Wa and those of not true burmese bloods now, who have no religion or morals... and all about power for them and $ for themselves :(

The first regiment brought into the city refused to shoot at the monks,but they were cowards also for not stopping the second regiment from doing so,the second regiment consist of mostly others nationality that doesn't worship Buddha and they don't speaks Burmese either,no matter which part of the country became a rioting zone,the junta will just send in troops from different zone.
