  • Surgical precision and hits like a freight train. My hats off to you my friend.

  • Very very good, you've got it man!!! :D

  • I really liked this video. Your technique is great, your explanation and tuition is spot on. Keep posting more vids please, always a pleasure to watch. Mike

  • GOOD VID !!

  • Awesome streching, love your videos :)

  • Cool vid. I like to twist the supporting leg at the last moment because I think the body movement gives it a bit more juice. Opinions on this vary ,and it also depends whether you are point fighting or trying to kill somebody ! Some Dutch Kickboxers twist the supporting leg before they even throw it .I think Bas Ruten (spelling?) has some good info.

Dont forget to practice on a heavy bag and practice turning kick to low section ,even though we dont use it in TKD. RegardsILZ 5th degree

  • This is good. There's no complicated instructions, and I heard that when doing the moves slowly, it helps build up muscles. :)

  • I learned Kajukenbo. Although I don't practice Taekwondo, I have a great respect for this style. Good instructions.

  • This was some great instruction. You are a very good teacher

  • Nice

  • nice! I need to learn this! keep up the good work! :D

  • @dirtywhiteboymma i have studied bio but not at a particulatly high level. but i have studied degree level physics. :)

  • nice

  • SOUNDS, NOW THAT I LISTEN TO YOU SPEAK, AS IF MAYBE YOU HAVE STUDIED BIO...

  • NICELY DONE. AS WE ARE ALWAYS ACHIEVING IMPROVEMENT, YOU EVER CONSIDER GETTING SOME BOOKS ON BIOMECHANICS, LIKE THINGS WHICH WILL HELP, LIKE GENERATING MORE COUNTER-WEIGHT FOR FORCE (ARCS, BODY-WHIP, ETC.)..?

  • Thank you so much.I am going to love your channel so much,Thanks for sharing and being a friend,Mary.

  • This was well made. Clear instruction, simple to follow. Fantastically done.

  • Hi I really loved this video. It's greatly helped with my roundhouse. Could you do a sidekick tutorial? I always feel like my form is a little off but no one has said anything.

  • @1010nickolai Thank you, and im glad it helped you! I will be making these for lots of different techniques, and side kick will be one, but i am just not sure when. :)

  • Great video! A short while after I started Tae Kwon Do I was told "Practice does not make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect" So, from now on, perfect practice makes permanent perfection. I love Tae Kwon Do, it is a great art. :)

  • Great tutorial and good form.

  • @SugarcreekForge thank you :)

  • Very nice! Simple, direct and no-nonsense!

  • Very good instruction here, great vid.

  • Practice makes PERMANENT!well said..very apt!

  • @Tenial I agree with you, so i posted a video with a few more variations of the kick :)

    youtube.com/watch?v=ReaflMV2TEc

  • Nice video and great form. Perhaps you could discuss some of the common mistakes that people make when executing this kick, such as not rotating the foot you stand on, or kicking at an upward angle.

  • snap kicks are pretty much useless. good for point fighting. do a crop cop style roundhouse, and knock that bitch out cold.

  • @Musashi242 i know first hand that this kick is very effective as a knock out kick :)

  • @ExtraLuke yeah and a knock out kick makes a life woth to live .... knock out for president

  • @ExtraLuke Same here, I broke someones ribs with a snapping roundhouse and have seen many fall from one, I love when keyboard warriors don't know what the hell they are talking about, it makes my laugh!

  • @Musashi242 You can knock a person out with a stiff jab if you know where to hit them. Precision can cause a knock out just as easily as force. It doesn't take much power along the jaw line to cause compression in the skull, causing a knock out. With practice you gain precision, and power.

A weapon is only as good as the person wielding it.

  • thanks it was great!

  • @crimsonx83 thanks, i like your stuff too! :) i subbed to your channel. :)

  • great technique, great video

  • @kungfudominic thanks :)

  • Sweet!!!

  • gut gemacht

  • hehe excelent one! :X

  • @DJCioby1 thanks! :D

  • think my chances of being able to kick like this are about 20 years behind me ,, shame ,, message to all never stop streaching

  • muy bueno excelente!

  • good job, nice and slowly

  • Great stuff. Wish there was more of this quality content out there. One criticism, at the end, you say that a further technique is called a reverse turning kick. Looks like your doing a 360 turning turning kick to me; because you rotate yourself 360 degrees then throw the kick. I know a reverse turning kick to be a backwards rotating kick, striking with the heel. I do WTF Taekwondo myself and believe you've just got the terminology wrong.

  • @matthughes11 Thank you :)

The kick at the end has a reverse turn (180 degrees) before i throw the turning kick. I am making a tutorial on that soon to show you what i mean. The kick you know as a reverse turning kick is what i know as a reverse hook kick. I think it is just a difference in what they are called in different places.

  • I like barefooted kicks to face!

  • Thanks dude :)

  • Well done, executed, and explained. In the future as you get more of these under your belt, I would recommend some close-up shots of the feet (how and where they move and turn on the floor, and also how and where they connect with the target. I look forward to seeing more of these ~ I also appreciate the "practice doesn't make perfect, it makes permanent" comment; it is rare to hear that comment made by any instructor.

  • @skelanth thanks man :D I am working on one at the moment and i have some shots of my feet on the floor. But when it comes to making the connection, i think i need to get a better camera to get a clear shot of that. But.. i will.. at some point :P

  • Good job i like how you explained it so you can really get the show of it good job. and get work keep it up

  • Impressive video and impressive form! I usually really hate shared videos (most get insta-deleted), but this one was really worth watching. This video convinced me to sub right away- keep it up!

  • nice

  • very very cood vid,congratulations.

  • удар выглядит не очень сильным, не впечатляет...

  • very nice bro. Glad you sent it to me. great tutourial

  • Perfect !!!

  • @profeso07 thanks! :D

  • Nice tutorial dude.

  • @footfighter87 cheers man :)

  • Very nice

  • very good basic roundhouse, one thing to note is that the knee aims the kick and two when the kicking foot come back to the floor, the knee should be bent a little. the knee being locked, is prime for attack. two slightly slow out a secondary movement. A good practice for good form is to place a chair in front of the target dummy. This will give the proper lift and balance.

  • Your points of doing the kick in your method is awesome! I like it =D!

  • A good tutorial, keep it up :D

  • just... perfect Master Luke.

  • Outstanding job on your tutorial! keep it up! it really helps!

  • Hi nice video

  • very good bro !!

  • @rabi394 thanks man! :D

  • It's a great video Luke even i don't practise it, you show the positions of all sides !! It must help lot of people !!

  • @Callinat Thanks a lot! :D i hope it helps people :P

  • an excellent video Luke thanks for sharing. My teacher used to say practice does not perfect, perfect practice makes perfect if that makes sense to you. Like you said if you practice something wrong all the time all practicing you do will not help you get the technique right. Thumbs up. Have a wonderful holdiay season.

  • @DTGtaihojutsu Thanks :D

And yeah that makes sense to me, It seems your teacher has the same sort of idea as me in that case! :P

  • Very good!

  • @MARCUSVINICIUSHPK Thank you :)

  • cool

  • @SuperRukino cheers! :)

  • looks good werry clean kicks if you know what im saying:p

  • @cleopatra88ZaiNEW Yeah, i think i know what your saying. and thanks! :D

  • cool good stuff

  • Tres bien expliqué , rien à redire , passe de bonnes fetes de fin d'année .

  • @mitcheureka783 Merci beaucoup. Je suis content que vous l'avez apprécié :)

  • so cool, man

  • thet is great

  • @MrKaratekid611 thanks man! :)

  • great

  • Very GOOD Liker :D

  • @MegaDonee :D

  • very good.like

  • head kicks are powerful and can land you a knockout, but they can also throw you off balance in a fight, leaving you open to counter attack.

the bones on the top of your foot are rather small and fragile, i belive you may be better off striking with the ball of your foot. it will also concentrate the force on a smaller area, creating more damage.

but honestly i dont know much about Taekwondo, im practice Krav Maga

  • @HunterKiller308 I was always taught to use the ball of my foot for the same reason but (personally) i find that the instep suits me better because of the extra range i get and it just feels more comfortable. I do still use the ball of my foot when i break wood etc. but if it was to someone i prefer the instep. Plus after such a long time doing Taekwondo i feel my insteps have hardened quite a bit :D

  • cool i like it

  • @mcbucoo thanks :)

  • It is very easy to understand videos. Select the reference. Thank you.:D

  • Its good to Practice on a Partner?

Wait a moment whilst I get My Girlfriend. Yes.

In all seriousness, its a well explained KKW TKD Round Kick.

  • @Caeviens hehe, its your choice who you practice it on! :P

  • I probably miss this but you forgot to mention turning your foot

  • @growpowerful i think i did mention it :)

  • Good job Luke. However, a little flaw that's unnoticed needs a little correction or maybe not. The leading leg before and after the kick is locking up. Locking up a leg prevents mobility and or multi kick execution. Other than that, it's a well executed tutoral kicking method. I give you 5 stars for foot pivot and kicking snaps, that's how kicking is supposed to be. And an extra points for spending too much time in horse stance (I've noticed that).

I'll wait for your jumping 360 round.

  • @iSTANDMA I dont think i lock my standing leg when i do this kick. It may be how my dobok has fallen on my leg, but im not sure. Im not saying i dont do it, but i dont think i do :D

  • I hate the moment, when i see my foe got arms :(

  • @CyclopHammer yeah, this way he can't hit back XD

  • Thanks for sharing, by the way I heard that before the impact the upper body is rotated against the kick`s momentum to maintain a better balance? is it true?

  • @DashBrandon Some people do that, i dont. I do twist my upper body a bit, but it isnt for balance, i do it to try to get my hips behind the kick. But i do know that some people do that. And, tbh, if it helps improve someones kick then its a good thing to do. Personal preference i guess.

  • whats the better sport to learn to all kick ?

  • @DeeDeeKhan sport taekwondo is a good sport if you want to learn kicks, but i would advise, if you were to start taekwondo, you practise the martial art. The sport side is very good and can teach a lot but there is a lot more to gain from martial arts than sports (only my opinion)

  • ok, i wanna learn the kick from muay thai and kickboxing, so the best way is taekwondo?

  • @DeeDeeKhan I wouldn't say it is the best. It suits me the most, but it is probably best to learn as many techniques as possible because certain techniques will work better in different situations. :)

  • @DeeDeeKhan as far as, what martial art to pick for kicks, it depends on what kind of kicks you want to learn. They all teach many kicks but in different ways and styles. :)

  • Would you be so kind to post something that can help us achieve better stretching, maybe even splits? Thank you.

  • @carvindc400 i will do. But personally i think the maing thing about increasing flexibility is holding the stretch for a long time. It seems to help me. but i will put a video up abou t that! :)

  • nice can you do more tutorials? i would like to see spining kicks if you have time ;)

  • @pejtok i will do one at some point. shouldnt be too long. nim just trying not to be a channel just for tutorials. but definitely at some point :)

  • YOU ARE ON POINT WITH YOUR METHOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for sharing

  • @taekwonwoo Thanks, means a lot coming from you! :)

  • @judojack27 thank you, and im happy tha it inspires you! :D

  • Very cool, solid tutorial.

  • @LLMelvinL Thank you :)

  • This video can learn a lot of beginners as well as experts through the basics. What i really liked is when you said ''Practice doesn't make perfect it makes permanent'' It is true which a lot of practitioners forget. These things should be held in the back of the head of every martial artist, regardless of style. :D The video is beyond effective its very educational.:D

  • @KungfuLong It's true i have always thought that practice makes permanent, so many times i have seen people practicing things wrong over and over and it becomes a habit! Glad you enjoyed it! And thanks for the comment!

  • solid video

  • @Donkyfishy cheers :)

  • i like your video its nice

martial arts is a beautiful skill to learn i do thai boxing

  • @jewish5555 Thank you! :) and i agree, i love martial arts!

  • thanks for sharing your round house kick instruction. as you mention, very good approch focus about technique. well done. hope to see your next video soon.

I send to my round kick tutorial as a response.
