It feels as if Michael met something when he wrote this song. Someone/something that followed him trough his life. For me it sounds as if he speaks to something similar to life, but bigger. Like God, but not in the religious way. I feel positive when I hear this song. If he is alive and want to be for himself, he deserves that. I love this song, so beautiful, innocent, pure totally michael. When I saw "This is it" when Michael hit the screen I got excited at the end it made me cry because I know he really wanted to tour and wanted his beautiful babies to see him at his best! and it will never happen :( R.I.P Angel, we love you!

It feels as if Michael met something when he wrote this song. Someone/something that followed him trough his life. For me it sounds as if he speaks to something similar to life, but bigger. Like God, but not in the religious way. I feel positive when I hear this song. If he is alive and want to be for himself, he deserves that. If he really died that day in June 2009, then I hope he can rest in peace. As long as he isn't kidnapped or something against his own will, he deserves to rest now.

I'm surprised so many people don't think this is MJ singing. I mean, he was 50. His voice obviously isn't going to sound like it did when he was 30. Paul McCartney doesn't sound the same anymore, but it's still him singing on his records.

@xoxofashiionista I do think that Michael wrote the song. But I don't think he sang it, so they had to find an impersonator to sing it, they released it to the public and hoped no-one would notice. That's just my opinion though.

i remember downloading this song onto my phone the day it came out :) i was singing it all day in college, everyone loved it for about an hour or so, and then they started telling me to shut up lol. i still sing along to it today :) such an amazing song by the king

@mjlova2 No. That's not true. "This is It" was recorded in 1983. Michael was 28 years old at the time. From Wikipedia-- "While putting together the This Is It album (after Michael's death in 2009), Jackson's demo version of the song was found. His brothers' vocals and additional instrumentation were then added to the recording."
