Go Andreas! Got the chance to meet him in Melbourne when he was touring Australia with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra. Great performer and a lovely, down to earth guy.

Scholl is on record as saying the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra is his favourite ensemble to work with. Theyu have released two or three CDs together.
Great stuff and apart from A.S who is always sublime the Aussies are also very good. I seem to remember Andreas going to record with them and having a lot of the recording equipment stolen, but they obviously got their act back together again because they are very good. Sheer enjoyment. Thankyou!

I wish the orchestra played with a bit more umph in this movement. They seemed a little stilted here.

And interpretation. Frankly, the orchestra lacks gusto in this performance, which is integral to the emotional qualities of Vivaldi's music.
