HTML is based on SGML, an outdated language itself. XHTML is based on XML, a more parser-friendly format. The main differences are explained in the video, but with the addition that XHTML may have other languages such as MathML and SVG in it.
This video is underrated. I think a lot of newbies to HTML are overlooking the potential problems that occur due to validation errors. Thanks for sharing.
