And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Its incredable the damage that is done.. in a very short amount of time.. I couldnt imagine the horror of seeing this.. those poor people on the roofs at the end of the video..... Im so sorry for all that had to deal with this...
the most scary thing I think is that at first you think oooh, I can out walk this thing, no need to panic but 3 minutes later you are in a fucking hell of rapid water and floating boats, cars, houses, what have you.
@Emiel3673 in the Netherlands or as we say here in America. Neverland or Nothingland they do what they do best and thats stick there heads up there buddys ass and breath deep.loser
If I was one of those people experiencing this, I would think that the end of the world had come upon me. Just unbelievable what water can do. And it just kept getting higher and higher with no end in site.
I look at this and I say, ... Oh my goodness, I am so glad I'm at home, ...warm and secure. Makes one grateful to be out of harms way on every level. Still, I pray that all of this dissipates quickly for all these people and the li'l ones.
This is shocking footage. I am amazed the camera person was able to stay so calm. Can you imagine being on a building and seeing other buildings being taken away like this? The cars were one thing, the boats coming through town another, but when your neighbors buildings are seen coming apart at the seams and some floating away whole...that would be very terrifying. The Japanese are strong people and I pray they rise up from this and show the world God's grace at work in their lives.
The photographer and his lady companion really handled this horrific situation calmly and kept their voices and words understandable during this entire sequence. I'm really impressed with this video and how it's able to share the horror step by step in a scientific manner.
@Gyphia If there's one confidence that I have in the Japanese peope, it's that their experiences with this will cause them to make real changes that will lessen the effects that the next tsunami could possibly have. I commend the spirit, resilience, and grace of the people of Japan. Salute.
@Guitarkungfu Not necessarily. The current is going land inwards. It's not pulling you under like waves that repeatedly hit on a beach. I think you could easily keep your head above. The biggest problem is all the debris hitting you and cutting you open.
@SukoSevato Perhaps... I wouldn't wanna try though :) I've tried swimming into a current before, it's fun but it can suck if you go under even a little bit. It becomes hard to resurface.
@Cuchulainn131 very true. But that's just water pushing it away. And we all know how strong water then is :P At least when I was a kid I always went standing on the spot where waves break :P To see if I could keep standing and would not be knocked of my feet =D But if you're not trying to resist it and just float along, then you have pretty good chances. Except indeed for debree cutting you open. Although I think, that most things that cut you open will be on the bottem of the stream like glas.

Eye opening. And I thought a Tsunami would be totally survivable if you're strong swimmer :o Untill a house hits you..
SukoSevato 11 months ago
@SukoSevato You wouldn't be able to swim against that, or even with it. The current is way too strong to even tread water.

Must also consider all the debris underneath the surface of the water and the current. Gotta be a strong current to uproot a building.

@Cuchulainn131 I do not know, but I wonder if most of their buildings aren't anchored, so much as they just sit on blocks or something.
