In australia about 6 hours.But you get one hell of a soar butt.The glider -soars,rises on thermals was lucky to ride one to 14500 but had to come down due to possile oxygen issues
in europe,in germany where i am soaring, 6 hour flights are average on a good day, one of my flight instructors soared one time in a wave at ~7000m(21000ft), but soaring in australia must be great, is it possible to soar in a wave in australia?
Gliders stay in the air due termic flying. They glide on hot air. So theoretiy they can stay in the air as long they have thermic bells in the neighbourhood...
If you look at the glider at 3:36 you will see that its landed with the wheel up. The white line on the tarmac is where the aircraft has scaped along on its belly hence, 'white liner'. The pilot will have a red face and an expensive repair.

omg. had a bike accident last year and i missed the hole season. only 1 fligtht last year:-( i watched this video over 30 times and it makes me feel like i have to fly right now and ever and evver. respect one of the best gliding videos
