I have the 160GB version of this drive, and it pwns. I can boot windows 7 64bit in about 8 seconds on my ThinkPad T61 with a core 2 duo 2.2Ghz and 4 gigs of ram(DDR2)

yea i got an crucial m225 doesnt have trim its called garbage detection

@asus3571 they do but intels drives lose about 2% - 5% but windows 7 supports TRIM so the drives get some of the performance back

I want a solid state drive really badly, but most are still in the 3-4 dollars per gigabyte range and some hard drives are down to 12 cents per gigabyte. Guess I'll keep playing the waiting game.

@HoneycombAgent the processor will not affect whether you use hdd or ssd as long as you use serial hard drives NOT pata (IDE) you are good to go
