I knew I've seen that KKK leader before but I couldn't figure out where, and then it dawned on me: that's James Karen, the guy from the Pathmark commercials. He's also been in a gazillion other movies and TV shows. I think it is funny that James Karen portrayed a KKK leader, considering that he is Jewish.

The ending was really deep. His son learned something very valuable, while his father of course learned absolutely nothing. George saved his life and didn't have to, and what was his thanks? Hate and ignorance.
