@hakkujin @sophiethepotterfan The US are best at making the best gripping action serials such as 24, Lost, Prison Break etc, which sadly Britain cannot replicate. But one things for sure the US cannot beat British comedy. They havnt ever made anything close to the standard of Fawlty Towers, Only Fools and Horses, more recent stuff like Shameless inbetweeners, Little Britain etc. Btw has anyone seen America's lame attempt at Shameless on E4? Omg, just looks sooo weird!!

@moby786 Dramas shows are what we do best but as far as comedy its pretty much neck and neck between UK/US. right now its hard to say what the best American comedy is because there are so many of them on at the moment.

and the US Shameless is actually really good and well acted, it looks weird probably because its more drama then comedy.

Just started watchin series 3 on demand. This show is so goddam funny. There needs to a dvd release of this show here in the states. American comedy shows can't hold a candle to these British shows. This show and Peep Show and the IT Crowd are all enjoyable.

In the US, BBC America airs shows from other channels as well. It's the only British channel we have, so that's probably why.

I'm not sure if those two who send to the US, but if they did, the DVDs would be in the wrong format so it wouldn't work on our DVD players.
