I think they kissed and the part was just cut off. At 1:57 he has his wine glass and then after that, its not there. At 2:11 his body position is closer to (natalies). Also, on Alan's Behind the Scenes Blog vid. for this episode he asks America if she's ready to kiss him (Eli).
