omg! I have that same music box set! And I have a Saria's song on mine! (A little bit different than your version, but basically the same).

You should try this! It sounds really friggin awesome for some reason if you play it backwards with the tape upsidedown. So, like the notes are in reverse order and "inverted". It's a really cool tune.

@studmuffffffin The music box is much too small, it spans only an octave and a half! We have to get creative and make our own variations that will fit. This is why very complex songs are impossible (or else end up sounding really different) on this particular music box.

great, but the accompaniment seems to drown the melody a bit. is there maybe a main and a second quiet track so that you can exchange them? In any case, there are 2 seperate tracks, right? I'm about to get a customizable music box like this as well, so i'm curious ^^

I'm not sure what you mean by separate tracks - the only way I can think of to make the music box quieter is by playing it on something that doesn't resonate sound as well (i.e. not wood).

It does get a bit tough for some songs to try to distinguish the melody and harmony in only two octaves, so if you haven't bought the music box yet I highly recommend getting the largest possible size!

It's just a normal strip of paper, and I use a small hole puncher that came with the music box to punch out the notes - this is how most mechanical instruments work (which is different from typical music boxes that have teeth).
