If you have the opportunity to travel to china for a decent amount of time try to make friends with as many Chinese people as possible. In my case, I tried to make many female Chinese girlfriends (I am male) to keep it interesting...haha. I am currently an American studying in Shanghai and have met many new friends and learned a lot from them. I would have never learned so much about Western versus Chinese attitudes and actions if I didnt have these experiences.
