  • i'm a personal trainer and i would not suggest taking protein with this type of program. protein is for growth and p90x is a body fat reducing and cardio workout program. you'll still have muscle gains with p90x but the point is to become lean and reduce body fat. Intaking protein will only be a waste because your body will store it and you wont lean down as much. Protein is if you're just doing strength training and looking to get big. Endurance supplements wouldn't hurt though....

  • does anyone know if you can take supplements like animal packs, protein shack, creatine and stuff like that. some comments will be much appreciated thanks!

  • Tomorrow I am going for day 9 of P90X.....just found your youtube clips and even though I am inspired to finish all 90 days, you encouraged me much more. Thanks man, looking forward to seeing the Day 30 pics. Best of Luck to you

  • if you want to lose weight, muscle milk is NOT the way to go. You should of got the whey protein, it's about 18 bucks and it has lots of great stuff for you, it also tastes great, I recommend chocolate. Muscle milk has lots of saturated fat and it could reverse some of your hard work.

  • What type of muscle buidling supplements are you taking? I take preworkout supplements that contain stimulants that help me really focus on my workouts and give me great pumps. I also drink about three whey protein shakes a day. My post workout shake is mixed with chocolate soy milk, raw oatmeal, and sometimes fat free peanut butter. In addition, I take multivitamins, green tea extract pills, and fish oil pills. These really help in the fat buring process.

  • I'm taking GNC Mega Man Sport multivitamins twice a day. I take 1 cup (not 2) of Muscle Milk with 2 cups of 1% milk each day (I've missed a few when I ran out of milk and was too lazy (er, broke) to go to the store. I don't have Fat Free peanut butter, but the post workout stuff sounds good. I've just been doing the recovery drink. Thanks for the tips!

  • hey don't worry too much about what the scale say mainly check and see if you lossed inches. Also on doing the pull ups/push ups you may not be able to do as many as the first day because your muscles still aren't fully recovered.
