Just imagine besides military logistics, what if they make a air support variant like the AC130 spectre gunship, with its current payload capability, imagine how much fire power can be unleashed...my god, it'll be like the fourth of july

But yes it could unleash a deadly force onto targets. But how much longer planes like the AC-130 will be useful is doubtful at best. Most countries have pretty solid airforces and AA-capabillities, that makes these vengeful giants vulnerable targets.
I think most European countries might as well convert one of their many "old" C-130 into an AC instead of a brand new A400. :)
@qfour20 That's a fair view, but the A400M is ment to fill the gap between the C-130 and C-17. The C-130 is a "tactical airlifter" and the C-17 a true "strategic airlifter".
The A400M is pretty much both, it's small and agile enough for tactical airlifting but can carry just enough cargo to do small/medium strategic airlifting. Which is pretty much the way of the future. :)

The "props" look like unducted fans. Do a google search and see all that was done 20 years ago.

A ducted fan uses a duct around the blades as is not the case here.
