Let's not forget that the wheat gluten was "food grade" meaning it was approved for use in human food too! In fact, it was found that some of it made it to the human food supply chain. It's claimed it was quarantined, but I know better than to believe it was all caught.
Additionally, the USDA is supposed to have been randomly testing foods since January but they have not, to my knowledge, released any of those test results to the public.
