  • THumbs Up if YOu mute the music

  • very unusual style of colouringgg... i think the marrony brown colour at the beguining was uneccessary.. however.. i still love it :D amazing work x

  • boooring

  • ive seen better...

  • emmmm...

  • How do you record all of this though? Like right off of your screen...

'Cuz i've been thinking about making a video like this ^-^

  • u just download hypercam!

    its free

  • when i use colour on it the paint just goes over the outines so i have no black edges, can anyone help me?

  • Hes using layers so the skin is under the black lines, so they show over the skin.

  • He's using photoshop not paint there's a big difference w/ paint and photoshop

    paint = drawing

    photoshop = editing

  • create a second layer for the colour. when you create the new layer choose the 'multiply' mode. You can then paint over the black lines and erase any mistakes without having to redo the lineart

  • what was the point of all that, there was barey even a tonal change??

  • Depth :)

  • good point.... the lineart is cute..^^

  • i feel like a want to die

  • what an unusual way of colouring skin.. i thought it was gunna be a black skinned anime, but suprisingly it wasnt -.0 amazing x subbed n faved x

  • song name plz send to my profile haha

  • what the hell is with the music?????

  • I personally find it a tad bit easier to do it the complete opposite way.... BUT whatever works for you works for you!

    Whats your DA?

  • Loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee your music

  • wich Photoshop is that?

  • HEARD OF TIME LAPSE!!!???

    That would be nice.

If not put it into movie maker and speed it up through the effects whatsit.

  • ive just got photoshop and i was wondering do you do your own out line or can you upload one that you have drawn?

  • I've asked the same question to another artist, he said yes, it also works ^^

  • thats good^^

  • where do u get photoshop from?

  • yeah tell me two !

  • The store or online at adobe

  • well the simplest wai has got tu be to just download it you can even download the extend version wit more stuff in it

  • it's very 3d i love it very much~! i usually only colour 1 type of colour for the face

  • this is very good~!!

but i think you should use lasso tool on the face b4 you colour

  • I do that on purpose actually, going over the lines. for one, the colors are on a different layer than the lines. by coloring over the lines i'm sure to get no anti-aliasing problems where the lineart meets the filler color. later on when cleaning up, i just select all the transparent space on the lineart layer, then choose the coloring layers i want to modify, and hit delete. instant cleanup. ^_^

  • hmmm i son;t quite get it yet,.

but i can still manage if i se the lasso tool right?

    then i will stick on the beginner's way~your work like a pro~~!ehehheh!^__^

  • not bad you should show ur finished work lol

  • What's so interesting in 5 min of this ? dude, really poor content...

  • this is why it's my first video. also my first time using the recording program i did. the content is interesting, if it's something that interests you. it would have been more 'interesting' if i'd added music to it, but i'm sure someone would have made a comment on my bad choice of music or something. this video was an experiment to see if i could use camtasia easily on my system. i have friends that wanted to see what i do in photoshop. so, i combined the two.

  • yeah i agree with you that guy is just plain stupid

  • I like the way you tone the skin colour, same way I normally do mine.

  • lol there's no right or wrong in art but there are ugly n pretty.

  • your shit is like 654785870 better than mines...

  • wow, your pritty talented, don't lisen to anyone that makes fun but i think you have your own uneek stile of art!

  • I mean, there is no right or wrong to art, but what was the point of all those dark skin colors, if you didn't even use them as shadows?

  • what version of photoshop is this?

  • probly coller

  • um what version is that?

  • probly coller

  • how can you do ART wrong? please explain that one... everyone has their own unique style of coloring goddammit... "doing it wrong" my ass. I agree that this may not be the best technique of coloring but anyway come on! DOING IT WRONG?...yah right.

  • hahaha your rite when i saw hispost i was like O.o hows can it be wrong

  • Thanks for the defense on that, like i've said in other replies, sure it might not work for everyone, and maybe it's not the most efficient method, but really, it helped me understand shadows and lighting so that i COULD be faster and better at it.

  • SHIT!

  • to show how you do your thing?

well your "thing" sucks.. no offense or anything, but you waste so much time on skin b/c you don't know how to preserve time. not every art you do has to be done in this style.. try another video and try a different style [better/faster]

  • is this 5.0?

  • actually, it's photoshop CS2

  • .... this is probably why it'll take you hours to finish one coloring job ... >.>

  • it might take me hours, but the end result, i feel, is worth it. I know, and have seen people with simpler, faster styles that come out better, but honestly, at the time I did this, I was only just learning the style of coloring, and I've improved vastly since then. It may not be the most efficient method, but it works for me.

  • did u notice u can use a dark orange and use that thingy button to make the orange lighter so its peach? thats wat i do

  • you're talking about the dodge tool i believe, and i did do that when i first started learning, but i found it doesn't work for me as far as keeping colors looking natural.

  • So what exactly is it your doing? Are you just applying different skin tones at different opacities?

  • yep. it's probably not the best way in general to do it, but it works for me, really, it gives smoother blending between shades.

  • lol everyone has there own thing. I'll have to give it a shot. See if I like it. Thanks for the idea.

  • CS2

  • which photoshop do you use?

  • Like. OMG! Can't you use that color instead? I mean, stop clicking on layer forever. This is so boring...

  • Someone please help me! i scanned one of my drawings onto my computer and i have adobe photoshop 6.0 but it wont let me color it the right way! make the lines thicker or something! please help!

  • hmm o.o, i'd rather not color with the transparent bg on, the checkered area confuses me

  • you know there's nothing really great with taht video right? I mean.. he just use the density tool...

  • I agree with dathamir. There really isn't anything great with this video. I understand that it's not finished yet...but the neck isn't shadowed correctly, either.. this disappointed me.

  • Agreed.

  • 1. I'm a she, not a he.

    2. it was meant to be informative, not entertaining. just a demonstration of my technique. Besides, it's the first time ive recorded as i did it, and obviously a first attempt isn't going to be my best work.

    3. Doesn't matter if i just used the density tool. i get asked on a daily basis how i color the way i do. this video was made purely to save the breath of explaining it.

  • it looks great

i think that you should add a song to the background just for better viewing pleasures but your coloring is awesome

  • wow!!! is so cool!!!!

    i love it so much!!!!1

  • Woow! I love this! Wanna be friends?! ^-^

  • where can i get photo shop!!!! RAWR! im obsessed wit photo shop

  • on the adobe website. They should have it.

  • I used to use PSP, but now I have Adobe Photoshop and it's so complicated >_< So I use Photoplus :P

  • nice stuff :3 i wanna color like that

  • That's awesome. I'd love to know how to do a camrecord deal. :D

  • Awesome to see you at work here... you use a tablet, ne? I still have to get the hang of using mine... obviously, you can get a lot more detail out of a picture that way... you've got a great eye for colors, half your color choices convused me, yet it looked perfect once you were done.

P.S. Guess what my username on DA is.
