@jeffchadrick actually its because ford focuses on making small diesels.. its not like they make them for semi's and nobody uses them. i dont think ive ever seen a 5.9l cummins in a semi have you? no my dad use to own a frieghtliner with a 12l cummins i believe.. and it was a good engine. but dont think if powerstroke made a bigger engine to put in semi's that i wouldnt use it. cummins is a good engine dont get me wrong. but in the same scale as the powerstroke? leave it to ford
We run two super duty's an 04, V10 with the 4 speed auto 160,000 + miles & an 05, with the 5 speed TorqShift auto 150,000 + miles. We pulled over 34,000 lbs. with the 05, up 15% grades, cross country, no problem. We also have a 94, F250 with the 5.8 V8 and 4 speed auto it has 228,000 + miles behind it. Nothing more than routine maintenance keeps these work horses running strong.
Chevy had those great commercials with Segar's song in the 90s.Now Ford has taken the lead with these promos. I want a Superduty.

The Powerstroke is still a horrible engine.. If Ford had the Cummins that's what would make it a good diesel

I work at a bridge construction site and all our equipment is brought by our Super Duty's
from 500 lbs of steel wire to pulling a air compressor up a muddy incline next to a rail yard
it does what we need it to do unlike other trucks
