yeah, i see one genius prefers ian gillan in this one. rather interesting since gillan had nothing to do with this song... and no, it was not only coverdale. it was coverdale and hughes sharing lead vocals in the original version.
Tommy's diggin it....One of the best songs on a highly underrated album "Come Taste the Band"...Wish David n Ian could have been there...Miss Tommy...
Tanks a lot, great video, although lacks steady hand... I was at Jon Lord concert with St. Petersburg Symphonic Orchestra in Moscow one month ago - this was wonderful! And last fall I also was lucky to see Glenn in Mocsow - he is still a GREAT showman, he really made the audience go crazy playing MK3 mega-hits - Stormbringer, Sail Away, and Holy Man - it was never played in DP concerts...
Why do we have childline? Because history shows us parents and carers would rather ignore their childrens abuses because they are interlectually less than their abusers. Better to say to a kid it is a mix up than show a friend or relative as a peado. Better to believe in danger stranger. Some have stockholm syndrome. This is why we have childline and broken britain.
I think the two most important people of the "MK3 feel" is right here. Coverdale is still amazing, but he's left the Purple style forever. He just doesn't have that kind of voice anymore. Blackmore is lost forever in his own slow music. And Paice is perfect where he is. So I basically think these two guys should do music together. A Lord/Hughes album would be amazing!

@Oberhoffer I am pretty sure it's Harry James of Thunder. Must say, I really like his drumming. :)

This is excellent. Lord remains phenomenal, and Hughes apparently is holding up quite well.
