You are right, in a decade at arkansas nutt never had a qb as good as snead. That's ONE of the many reasons he was run out of Arkansas. Keep in mind that Snead was at Ole Miss before Nutt got there. Casey Dick finally graduated and his brother Nathan left the team. Ryan Mallett or Tyler Wilson will be the QB at Arkansas next year.

Nutt couldn't (and it is well documented with some of his comments) deal with Malzahn's (who WAS known nationally due to his coaching book that HE wrote) rising star.
Nutt then ran off Malzahn and the highest rated high school quarterback in the Nation.

Casey Dick finally graduated and his brother Nathan left the team. Ryan Mallett or Tyler Wilson will be the QB at Arkansas next year.

From 2005-2007 Arkansas sent 13 players to the NFL. They sent 6 after the 2007 season. That was second in the SEC only to LSU who sent 7. The reason they didn't win anything wasn't a lack of talent, it was a lack in coaching. Your statement proves you don't know shit about football. I usually don't berate people on here, but some of you have no knowledge of football nor what happened at Arkansas under Houston Nutt whatsoever. The fact about Gus Malzahn is that Frank Broyles and the Powers That Be ordered Nutt to take Malzahn as OC because Nutt couldn't do the job himself. This gave Nutt a two-year pass.
Nutt couldn't (and it is well documented with some of his comments) deal with Malzahn's (who WAS known nationally due to his coaching book that HE wrote) rising star.

Weird... cause all the games I've ever watched, the visiting team comes out first and then the home team. Nutt knew he was going to get boo'd and was afraid his fragile ego couldn't handle it.

Fragile ego?! Give me a break! That man put up with more unnecesary shit while he was in FayetteNam than i've had to put up with while conversing with you hillbillies from Ar-Kansas. All he was doing was showing the pigs of what is to come in the Ole Miss-Arky series...NUTTIN' BUT FRUSTRATION FOR THE PIGS! That man is going to look forward to that game EVERY year!

Unnecessary? Hilarious. Why don't you do a little research. He ran off a coach that was better than him, ran off a QB that was getting more attention than him, lied to tons of recruits, had a dubious (to say the least) relationship with a local news anchor whom he was texting more than his recruits, couldn't recruit players unless they already wanted to come here... I'm only stopping here because my word count is diminishing. Trust me... you'll learn. Oh... and "unnecesary" has 2 'S's.

Coach that was better than him...i'm assuming you're talking about the head coach @ Tulsa right?! That guy was a high school coach and Nutt was the only one that would give him a chance. Nobody would have ever known who he was, except for you hillbillies in Ar-Kansas of course, if it wasn't for Nutt. And I can't believe ya'll are still bringing up Mitch Nutt-stain! That dude is like 4th string @ USC. Gimme a break.

No. Malzahn is the OC at Tulsa. Let's see: and Tulsa has the #1 offense in the NCAA... pretty good for "high school". And hey while you're trying to figure that out, why don't you think up something more original than "Ar-kansas". Pretty bad when you have to take your thoughts from Les Miles. Mustain is Sanchez's backup at USC, maybe you should actually watch some football sometime. What was Nutt... oh yeah, 4th string at OK State. Nice!

For one, i've always called AR Ar-Kansas. I could care less what the mad hatter calls you. And your high school coach wouldn't have that opportunity if it hadn't been for HDN giving him a shot. And yes Tulsa is the number on offense in the NCAA, but Malzahn is still coaching @ against high school level talent in the CUSA. Any decent SEC offense would be number one playing against the teams Tulsa plays against. Can't wait to see how bad Malzahn sticks it to his old teamm this Sat.
