  • Where is a video showing measured data to confirm your efficiency?? Looks pretty cool, but all I see is a regular 3-phase motor turned inside out. For sure, this has applications for energy storage, because the rotating moment of inertia is further from the center of the assembly, thus maximizing energy storage in a given package size (assuming same RPM and size of a regular motor). However, this is hardly new. Baldor and Synchrony easily get 97-98% efficiency. Documented and displayed...

  • Patent your cock you stupid cock wanking yankee. Everything is patents with you lot to the point nothing good comes out of US any more accept franchise brands and weapons of mass destruction. Things that make you go boom...

CSIRO Australia invented the Ironless core axial flux motor/generators years ago. Way better than this.

  • Yes, we are in US. The size available is about 3KW. We also build the high efficiency motor system. The OEM price will be compatible with any existing motor/generator with much better performance. We can build and deliver per your specification if you have quantity order.

  • open source bro.

  • are you in the US?

    Are you in production?

    what sizes are available?

    what is OEM pricing?

  • Hey, keep at it and good luck. Germany is hoping to be nuclear free someday. Maybe they are working on something like this.

  • could you put power to it and have it generate power during then?

  • @leaualorin The patent was already award. The efficiency can be 95% in a full load condition. The wire is using normal copper wire.

  • In principle, it is similar to brushless servo motor. However, due to using non metal stator, the rotor is more smooth. The position of the rotor can be sensed in the wire winding through digital control, no encoder is required. The efficiency of the motor can be greatly enhanced through digital control. In fact, it is closed loop control, the currents is only injected when the power is needed. The design is already been awarded with US patent.

  • TESLA

  • This is the same as a brushless servo motor that you can see on my channel an of course there is no mechanical resistance if is just connected to oscilloscope.

The servo motors on ebay are really cheap I purchased mine 1200W for about 100$

  • Wind turbine applications? Can you tell me how to use it for this?

  • you can even use a speed control as a one way diode(non brushless moters)

  • We can get 95% efficient for the most operation speed. The higher speed will have even higher efficiency. We are looking for specific application. Anyone if interested can direct contact me.

  • @splee888 did you ever get this to operate on a wind turbine? I have been working on an idea and I have a way of turning this motor with a consistant rpm. what higher speeds do you consider to be optimal for your motor? If you hooked it up to you home power supply would you need an inverter? Thanks for posting. (By the way, I have a very specific application for this motor so maybe we should talk.)

  • so what is your actual efficiency and how much of an improvement is it over standard designs? if it's both more efficient AND rotates more freely, it seems like a good design for smaller engine systems.

  • I had a dream many years ago of a new electric scooter that had what appeared to be a magnetic? motor assembly that just fit over a steel disc like a disc brake caliper and brake rotor with holes or slots in it that propelled the bike once you pushed it off like with pedals like some motor bikes. I suppose the rotor may have been a magnet or different alloy also. It was like a white metal, possibly magnesium? I believe it also worked as a brake. If only I knew about basic electric motors.

  • I'm not familar with generators other than the huge propeller ones. Although, I recall having seen a sailing ship design that had a tube and possibly turbine inside. When all of this finally comes together, the world will end in 2012.:(

I have thought about the turbine vents some building have. Imagine a high post with several independant turbines. Maybe even an arched pole.

But I would think the Japanese or Tesla? have already come up with several high efficiency motors and generators.

  • Nice, does sound like metal is rubbing though when you spin it. Maybe have a home machinist lathe up your prototype?

  • now that would be cute, little baby brushless motors.....aaaaaaaaaw

  • What do you mean apparently patent pending? Is that like a little pregnant?

  • how is this different from an outrunner brushlees motor?

  • It is different. It has no steel for the stator winding which will cause clogging when you turn it as shown in the outrunner brushless motor. As you can see in the video we can turn it very smoothly.

  • shit that one is sensitive!!!

are you using that for power now?

--have a perendev magnetic motor turning that thing!!! :P

--that is what i am doing right now with a working perendev torquing a perm mag alternator

--over 15 lbs of crank, the problem is keeping the rpm DOWN to a usable range

  • well you dont even need the motor, put it on a wind turbine and get your self some free power, just need a storage set up and an inverter to splice that power into your current power input and to keep a steady current.

  • im new to this i was given a ac motor has on the side for a belt to turn it but doesnt generate electric when using a bike belt and pulley whats the trick to get it to generate electric ? would appreciate it as im not tecknicaly inclined thanks

  • The most AC motor are induction motor which do not have any magnets. To work as a generator, you need to feed in a small AC current to start it and then crank the shaft to generate more current.

  • You are absolutely right. We already know about that. But we have the solution to use the aluminum material in both end of the winding where no permanent magnetic flex to dissipate the heat. Also, the efficiency is about 95% for a 15 Kw generator. It will generate 750 w heat for which aluminum material can be easy dissipated. We are building the integrated turbine generator system for wind or water mill application. The power rating is 15 KW and the cost will be less than $15K for retail.

  • Very nice build . However since this is ironless stator in a compact package you will quickly realize that heat dissapation is going to be your biggest problem as soon as you start to put some power through that thing. Unless you guys solved that, now that would be a breakthrough. Windmill guys been making ironless axial flux alternators with good results but they have a huge surface to dissapate heat. Anyways thats just my opinion. Good luck!

  • Status? Please let us know availability of this. I can envision the wind turbine folks (like me) drooling over this generator!

  • We are building the integrated turbine generator system for wind or water mill application. The power rating is 15 KW and the cost will be less than $15K for retail. The availability shall be within one year.

  • Availability and price estimates? Please.

  • Errr this is not new?

  • If you think it is not new then you got to tell me where I can find the motor (to be responsible for the comment). we are in the process to build the digital controller for the motor and expect to demonstrate the efficiency to be well more than 90% in a rang of speed. It will take a few months.

  • Use magnetic bearings for a start, have the windings made with very low resistence wire, silver coating is good.

Close tolerences between the armature and stator.

High iron content electromagnet cores with fine shim coated/laminated, to reduce eddy currents.

    Should do the trick.

You say you are not concentrating the electromagnetic field?

That is new as coils throw it everywhere?

  • Thanks for your reply. Yes, we can reduce the Eddy current by lamination but not eliminating it. Yes, we do not need to concentrate the electromagnetic field, instead, the wires are placed in a predefined pattern to maximize the electromagnetic effect with the permanent magnets.

  • I'm interested wounld like to know more

  • Since, we are using nonmetal material for the stator winding, Thus, no induced Eddy current and cogging, no needed lamination. This technology is being patented, In contrast to the conventional motor, the axle in the center is fixed and the rotor in the outside is spinning. We are building motor in the wheel (MIW)by attaching a car wheel on the rotor for the EV application. A turbine blade is also attached to the rotor for marine application. We are looking for join venture with large company.

  • It looks like a breakthrough technology which eliminates Eddy current and cogging loss and can be applied to the low speed generator like power from ocean wave or current.
