How did you not get your eyes pecked out by the momma bird?
I remember a robin who used to nest in the dogwood tree by our driveway at the house I grew up in. I used to have to run at full speed just to get to the school bus stop in the spring because the momma robin would dive bomb me. That bird would attack our car when it went past her nest. Our dog was afraid to go out in front 'cause she kept getting pecked.

You lucky bugger! My kids would kill to have the chance to watch some baby birds growing up outside our back door like that.

They respond to shadow, so if you put your hand above them, they'd open up their beaks thinking mommies feeding them.

I haven't seen many robins around where I live... at least not the amount I am used to. This is such a beautiful site though :)
