  • uses SPRINT...NOT VZN..OR AT&T

  • Wow I didn't know that - I totally thought that there would be some sort of roaming charge. That's awesome. I do a lot of travelling and could use a deal like this, especially for work purposes!

  • Ya, one of the best things about this ST unlimited deal is that there are no roaming or long distance charges and that ST is on the verizon network, so you get the best coverage. Love getting postpaid service at prepaid prices:)

  • @Miser818 oh yeah.

Straight Talk hit the nail on the spot! UInlimited text, calls and web browsing and 411 for $45. Plus you don’t have to sign a contract. Which was the major reason I switched to them. I cant stand to sign contracts for anything. I cant commit to being with a cell phone company for two years. Tho straight talk has been sweet so I wouldn’t mind committing to them

  • @TheCTJason but that's the beauty of it, their deal is so enticing that they don't need people to commit for two year periods in order to ensure their business. Also, I don't know if you knew this but Straight Talk uses the Verizon and ATT Wireless networks to broadcast signal. That means the combined power of the two largest networks in the world!

  • I'm a Straight Talk user and I only pay $45 a month for all my necessary talking and text minutes. I'll tell my friends they're crazy for not switching over sooner.

  • i can tell you why i think straight talk is the best prepaid cell phone provider around, and it is not too good to be true, it is simply true : straight talk charges only $45 a month and for that provides me with unlimited talk, text and data, i pay no roaming fees, i have no longterm commitment, i can switch plans on a monthly basis if i feel the need to slow down on my spendings, i have great nationwide cover and no dropped calls ever. that's why. suggest you go check it out yourselves

  • I switched from a contract phone to straighttalk. On the contract phone I had to pay all sorts of hidden costs in roaming and texting my bill would be sky high at the end of every month. Since switching to straighttalk all I spend is $45 a month. I am on the $45 unlimited plan which gives me unlimited talk, text and data and there are absolutely no hidden costs - it is all for just $45. This has been a huge saving to me and I am glad that I have switched

  • Just got my Samsung R810 with the straight talk plan and I am lovin it! I love the touchscreen and 2.0 megapixel cam. Just a beautiful phone with the best service plan that money can buy!

  • Ugh!! I agree! I was so sick of the "small fees" that my contract was randomly dropping on my lap. It's true, with Straight Talk you don't have to deal with that. You get exactly what you pay for. And in my opinion, $45 for unlimited talk, text, web, email, and 411 is a great bargain.

  • @ComeonHeat I don't know about small fees....mine added up to BIG fees when I was on contract and month end was a nightmare of tension over the cell phone bill! Now I pay $45.00 a month for everything and I'm smiling all the way to the bank!

  • Just purchased the Straight Talk Unlimited Plan. I upgraded my plan and for just $45 a month, which is almost twice less of what I used to pay, I get unlimited everything, and no contract to sign. This Straight Talk cellphone company has several plans to choose from. I used it for business purposes, and still have extra cash for anything I want to buy. Straight Talk also has excellent reception and no dropped calls.

  • Just got the nokia E71 smart phone with the straight talk plan. Full qwerty keyboard, 3.2 megapixel camera, 4gb sd card included, web and bluetooth wireless technology! It was only available with the $45 a month unlimited plan but that was actually exactly what I wanted : )

  • I am telling you, this is a great deal. I saved like $500 a year with the wireless plan from straight talk!

  • i was not a believer to start with either, but my mom convinced me to have this cool samsung finesse from straight talk, together with the $45 a month prepaid plan. i get unlimited talk, text and web access and free 411 calls. it seems a lot of money but the fact that i can chat and text unlimited make it worth it. in order to keep up with friends and family at home as a student i use my phone a lot and i love the fact that i have not had a dropped call yet

  • That was totally the same predicament I was in. I had a seriously cheap contract deal but I travel a lot and everytime I made out of state calls I would be hit with a monstrous bill. It didn't even balance out because the local calls were cheaper, it was just crazy. Straight talk really works for me and teh coverage is amazing everywhere I go..

  • From friend from Norway is coming to vacation here for two months. He needed a cheap but reliable wireless plan. After much research, he decided to go with the Straight Talk plan. Very cheap and great service.

  • I used to have Metro PCS and the service is nowhere near Straight Talk cellphones. I have never dropped a call on my ST cellphone and used to drop calls all the time with Metro. My girlfriend actually hated my cellphone and she begged me to switch :)

  • I've stuck with Straight Talk prepaid because their Verizon network has never let me down, its always given me clear reception no matter where I am travelling to in the US. This package has saved me $560 in the last 8 months since switching from a contract & I don't have to worry about unexpected expenses like connection fee's, calls to 411, contract cancellation fee's, theres no monthly bills, I get data in the packages and Straight talks phones are reasonably priced.

  • Too cool! I saw this at Walmart and got it in June. Love it. Great way to save money with great call service and super-low coast, It's perfect for families or anyone needing to save money. Never dropped a call and happy to get rid of the contract!

  • I'm also much happier with StraightTalk. Not only am I saving at least $50 a month, I get better reception and a cooler phone. So far, so good.

  • Straight talk really are the best new network out there- no long distance charges, amazing deals and the best coverage. I've been so much happier since I changed to them:)

  • Apart from the fact that it's great to have unlimited calling, texting and web access for only $45.00 per month I haven't had a dropped call since I went with Straight Talk as the nationwide coverage from Verizon is the best! I'm saving a ton of money every month which is such a bonus as well!

  • The fact that I can stay connected to my family and office when I travel, at no extra cost for national calls, also makes a big difference in my life. I was initially drawn by that fact, but did have my reservations about coverage. To date I've had no problems with dropped calls or low coverage areas. Thanks Straight Talk for the great service!

  • Straight Talke is offering a great deal. nationwide coverage and no extra charges for long distance calls.unlimited calls and text for only $ 45 a month. no contract fees or any hidden costs. a straight forward deal.i am also considering to move, and will have one worry less, as it makes no difference where i am, the charges stay the same. unlimited.

  • Also picked mine up from wallmart and really was an easy process getting started. my best thing is definatey the awesome coverage with straight talk!

  • So it's been 9 months since I got this plan and I'm still VERY happy with the service! The Straight Talk plans have enabled me to save more than $400 on cell costs during this time (when I compare it to last year's bills) The coverage is still great, there are more handsets to choose from and the one time I had to call customer service it went smoothly and my problem was resolved in no time.

Any other people wanting to share their experiences with Straight Talk?

  • @jimmyrwlnd I've had nothing but good experiences so far. The extra fifty bucks in my wallet per month really goes a long way, especially since I'm still in school and I need to pinch whatever pennies I can. I think the reason that the coverage is great is because it uses the Verizon network, which is the biggest.

  • lol do they only have black people that do prepaid cellphone commercials?lol

  • At first I was unsure about using them but they turned out to be a great cell service. I like!

  • @e11va I agree..I did not want to follow the crowd but it turned out to be WELL worth it.

  • I'm going to get one in the next couple of days. I regret coming off prepaid. I got screwed by a contract again. I can't sign into my account with my Verizon contract and they aren't sending a paper bill so they are able to charge whatever they feel like. It's been a constant headache since Sept 09 but that's about to change.

  • @tsolorio3001 contracts suck i only called on my phone with unlimited minutes 3 times each time around 5 mins(on att) and they screwed up and charged me 2000$! luckily i got that fixed

  • The coverage is the difference for me too. i stumbled upon the phone at Wallmart, I got it just out of curiosity as I couldn't believe what a great deal the Unlimited plan was. Since then I've cancelled my contract with At&t, because i got better way coverage with ST

  • I agree the coverage on Straight Talk is outstanding. Straight Talk runs on Verizons network which is how it has got such great coverage. Not only that, when they say $45 monthly Unlimited.. They really mean Unlimited EVERYTHING!!! Unlimited minutes, messages and data. Great value and it works ;-)
