  • Please hold the camera steady, and actually point it at the item being described :-)

  • SHOULD HAVE USED A MOUNTAIN BIKE REAR HUBto have a 8 speed setup with freewheel

  • @ismokewead420 Great Idea, so let's see, I could downshift for the up hills and coast down them better as well. gets rid of that pesky reverse thrust option as well. Try it if you like, I see lots of disadvantage and no upside at all, Please practice passing a Turing test, as it is you are giving pot smokers a bad name.

  • when you wanna stop pedaling, and the prop wants to keep going... anyway, i dont give a shit if you don't like it, it was just a suggestion. you are an asshole. where in that comment did i give ANYONE a bad name? i seem to recall that i didn't make a rude comment, just a suggestion that no body else thought of .FUCK YOU dick head, your a miserable prick... and by the way, what's a "Turing" test, if i can find one, i will pass it.DICK

  • @ismokewead420 one more thing, having gears on a bike isn't just for going up hills easier, dumbass. when you go down a hill, you have to pedal a hell of a lot faster to keep accelerating, unless you drop it down a couple gears... so maybe next time before you make a mouthy dumbshit comment, DON'T!

  • hey nice work man! i gotta ask out of curiosity though... wouldn't it be more beneficial to attach this into where the crank on a bike is? as it put the differential into the hole where the crank/bearings sit and then there are a whole bunch less parts and chains to adjust. just a suggestion, anyway i like where its going!

  • @roksys69

the efficiency of the prop needs the prop shaft to be as parallel to direction of travel as possible. My guess is that the added complexity is worth it. Also you need some chain anyway to get the right angle drive out of the way of the feet/cranks - can't just bolt to the axle there.

  • That's cool! I salvaged one of those angle drill chuck things, for the same purpose. I havn't built the rest yet though.

  • sorry but WTF is up with your camera work? Don't you know how to aim? You're pointing at something and it's a shot of your wrist, or the table, or the floor. Didn't you view this before you uploaded it?

  • I guess it weighs about 10lbs total. This may vary if you figure how to make the cranks solid enough to pedal them, you need to connect whatever powers the boat to the boat and you, as well as deal with the force of the prop in the water. not sure what a bottle boat would be. Winter came and I never got to test this out. Soon coming, I hope. Good luck with your project.

  • Cool. What's the weight? I'm going to make a bottle boat and wondering if I should pit this in. Or I'll make a small motor
