we need a single payer system for sure. every western country were basically split on it as we are now, before they implemented it. and now they love it. its been proven to work and its makes good economic sense. i'm very conservative about a lot of issues. but i know a good idea when i see it. they didn't fight hard enough to get it. interested to see how things turn out though. this isn't over by a long shot.

The problem is people making a profit over other people suffering. This isn't car insurance where you can drive carefully and minimalize your risk for an accident. PEOPLE WILL GET SICK! government involvement in health care is what has drivin the cost up, a national plan will be the end of quality health care...we need to remove gov regulations on health care to fix it, not more gov....if the gov had regulations in the computer market, computers would cost much more than they do, but the gov would say "yeah, they cost more, but they do so much more"......

No restrictions on where ins companies can provide insurance...allow a Japanese or Swiss company to provide it as well, reform tort and abolish/limit massive payouts...insurance is for cancer, heart attack, not for a cold, physical, sprained ankle...
