  • Ah, Mr. Holmes. I've been expecting you...

  • ah sld and the woods, yes sir, beautiful combination

  • JOHN HOLMES

  • @JABBADAHUTT666 I think you might be onto something just because of the moans around 4:30 :')

  • This song is a courtship display.!.

  • The chords for the main part of the song (after the beat kicks in) are i (minor) and V7 (w/ flat 9 as far as I can tell), and the chords during the intro and much more crushed with alot of extensions, I can't work out what they are :/

All I know is that it's fit as tits, so I'll keep burning and keep listening. Just enjoy it, alot can be said for analysing the chords, sounds and features etc, but at the end of the day, if it really makes you feel something, then that's magic!

  • should kinda usee this music if u break up with someone. LOL

  • @LiBRa473 You should take every excuse to use this music.

  • Is the song name a reference to HH Holmes of 1800s Chicago murdering fame? Something Wicked This Way Comes....

  • @sewilde Much more likely it's either a reference to Sherlock Holmes or some other smooth character. The something "wicked" coming this way I believe is a play on words as in the 90s "wicked" almost meant good or cool. I think there is also a suggestion that it's dark in a good way. But that's just what I think.

  • @nickshel Wrong.

It is most likely a reference AND a tribute to a very talented man named Richard "Groove" Holmes.

He was a very skilled jazz organ player, famous around the 1980's. He made most of his appearances throughout New Orleans, but that had not stopped his music career from travelling further than he had.

  • @DJGskull You realise that made no logical sense I hope. I said "but that's just what I think" so that being wrong is technically impossible.

  • @nickshel Wrong. You said something that I disagree with so I will sum up your entire comment with a single word. (That guy was such a dick regardless of whether he's right or not.)

  • I dont need any kind of stuff to listen this song, just my djembee :)

  • the drums in this song speak to my very soul

  • I love playing this while doing my pool cleaning and pizza delivery jobs.

  • @drdilostues hahaha funny you mention that... I deliver pizzas part time and just ripped this disc for my shift tonight!!!

  • Pity those backing voices are toes curling off key.

  • @TerrierBram It's a pity people like you think they know what they're talking about!

No but really... you need to develop your ear for jazz chords mate!

  • @TheMushroomsAreHere Uhuh … jazz chords … a chord is a chord … mate. Of us is one a musician … I guess it is me.

  • @TerrierBram

I know what a chord is. But I thank you for your thoughtful definition.

What I meant was that when I first started really getting into jazz, I often felt that it sounded out of tune. But after I really started to listen to the 7, the major and minor 7, and so on... I stated to get a feel for the sound. So after years of practice on a number of different instruments (I am also a musician) I can tell you that the vocals are not off key.

  • @TerrierBram : a chord is a chord, but there is something existing like "a typical jazz chord"

  • hang on, wasnt this in jam?

  • isnt this song perfect for night pool parties

  • @L3W15TH No way, were does your physics teacher live. Does he have a diskgolf on or near his property?

  • my old physics teacher is called mr holmes

  • The repeated women's orgasmic cries in the track make me believe that Mr Holmes is a reference to the legendary pornographic actor John C. Holmes...
