Its been up for many years and has seen major advancement in R&D technologies as well as updates. It still doesn't work. Face reality and get a life. The introduction of alternative technologies for power production are an excellent idea. However, only a small part of the so-called "stimulus package" is devoted to it. What I'd like to see is action, not just hear mere rhetoric. I can picture vast solar arrays in the desert regions of the southwest, extensive wind farms in the northern midwest, geothermal and solar panels in every single home in the U.S., piezo-electric power generation on a massive scale, etc. Where are the plans to do this?

I see you are "InFOXicated" ...Otherwise you would know that despite if starting drilling today it would take 10-13yrs before oil would flow to market...Despite the fact it would then be sold on the open market as oil companies are not in the biznaz of giving oil away...The amount of oil we have in the ground is less 5% of what we import today at the very best estimates. So, try sobering up by looking at the evidence and not watching so much FOX TABLOID NEWS!

The U.S. government said that as much as 4.3 billion barrels of oil can be taken from the Bakken shale formation in North Dakota and Montana, only a couple billions barrels, Now i don't know 100% this is true, I am not going to waste my time and money investing to find out if this is true. Fox tells me nothing, I can make my own decisions, drill now, have oil later. Build wind towers, have energy. Buy a car that gets 38mpg, vrs 22 mpg? uh yes.

If Yuka Mountain was opened today it would already be filled...We do not have any place to store spent nuclear fuel. Now, they are suppose to be getting closer to developing a way to get rid of this waste but that could a decade away...WIND SOLAR with a new smart electrical grid is the future but not the entire solution...Did you see 60min last week?
