I wanted to ask for your opinion, im 17 and looking forward to get drivers licence(at the age of 18) In my country at 16 i can drive any Scooter below 50cc, at 18 i can drive any bike below 250cc. (Lol just got a dejavu) Well i looked around and i found Ninja 250r Kawasaki, it seems to be on top of 250cc but the price is just outrage for a starter like me xDD (These go for 4.5k+ and i've seen some go for 10k modded) I need your advice what to get, cheap and nice.

What is with Asians and Surgical masks? From what ive read those masks are generally useless in preventing the spread of disease/ or airborne bacteria. Is it like a fashion thing in their cultures or something

@MrSockoOck im pretty sure surgical masks DO help prevent the spread of bacteria,,, that's why doctors use them...

In Japan and Taiwan (and other Asian countries) people wear them because of pollen allergies (hay fever) It helps keep the particles out.

But you do have a point about the fashion thing, increasing number of people tend to hide behind those masks....

@DefiantAML To an extent. But walking around in one of those things in the street, from everything i have read, actually does not help keep a healthy person safe. From what i know when doctors use them, they are already using them in a sterile enviroment, and during procedures. You never see doctors/nurses/patients walking around hospitals with those masks on. It's usually worn when inspecting a sick/weak patient or performing surgery. I suppose it could have some small minimal benefits though.

they work. for example patients who had their kidneys implanted have to wear those masks in order to protect their body for getting too many viruses because it could cause the new organ to fight back the body. but its the most stupid thing to do when you are a healthy person. you need! to get some viruses in your body so your body can produce antibodies, that will keep you healthy. if you are fighting yourself against it with masks, you will sooner or later get more sick

This might have something to do with why they wear masks. If you take the swine and bird flu epidemics into considereation, its realy not an odd thing that they are doing at all.

@Crana 65 mph(105kph) is stupid fast for a scooter. My big bore lol mio will do that, but 60 kph on a scooter feels like you are doing 280 on a gixxer 1000. So i usually hang around 60 kph...yo.

@13mordeth This would be true on cars prior to having O2 sensors. Modern cars all have at least 2, more commonly 3, O2 sensors and will adjust the air/fuel mixture automatically. Never heard of shutting off and starting up a car before like that.

Pigs are really smart. While the little ones seem cute, the big ones can be mean. We're having a problem here in the US with feral hogs - once domesticated pigs that are now wild and breeding in the woods. They can get to 400 pounds or more and can be very dangerous. They have sharp teeth that extend out of the jaw. There are videos here that show the problems. Motorcyclists have hit them and its no fun. Even the small ones will total your bike and maybe you also.
