Mind you, if he said Troponins, he's only talking about the method of determining any damage to the heart by the use of blood markers called Troponins which are diagnostic markers for heart and muscle trauma and are a complex of three regulatory proteins - the 'normal' of which is <0.02. This test is often taken immediately after arrival in ED, then 12 hours later and are called Troponin T, I or C and are combined with CK (Creatinine Kinase) tests for the same reason.
